President Trump announced he was creating a new “AI Force” and designating a new AI “czar” Saturday to keep the industry from engaging in bad practices – after doubling down that fears of AI superintelligence are just another “hoax.”
Trump compared a brewing panic over AI to a series of other events he has branded hoaxes.
“Over the years, there have been many Hoaxes, all generated by the Radical Left Dumocrats, for purposes of destroying our Country,” he posted on Truth Social. “RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, Global Warming, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, and now, the decimation, or destruction, of AI, commonly known as Artificial Intelligence — And I, as President of the United States, will not stand by and let this happen.”
He compared the “crazed Data Center attack” to an effort “going straight at AI.”
“We will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry. Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows! However, we will also be looking for BAD” through the existing criminal justice system, he wrote on Truth Social.
“For this purpose, I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term.” He said he was screening “High I.Q. individuals” for the AI post.
His remarks come a day before Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent is set to sit down with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, with tariffs and AI expected to be on the table for talks.
Bessent said in a statement the two officials would discuss “both open and closed-weight models” of AI.

A lot of us did a lot of very careful, thorough, and thoughtful work, over the course of 5 years, starting before most of you had even heard of the two-digit year problem, to fix computer systems so that there WOULD NOT be a disaster on 2000-01-01.

I interpreted it to mean he was creating an AI task force. He also said he would designate an "AI Czar" to oversee it (as opposed to an "AI Commander.")
AI Force works to keep this potential weapon in the hands of a sane military setting and away from the crazies - (ie the democrats/commies/progressives/freaks etc etc etc...)

They don't have Vance and crew at small business and small manufacturers who have benefited from tariff's, BBB and other achievements they have pushed. They should be touring these facilities daily.
There should be small businesses opening daily from these 'trillions and trillions' coming into the US. The admin should have a website showing this.
Running on Datacenters and AI is the free trade of the 90's and rewarding China with favored nation status, good luck out there.

The Space Forces is a branch of The Armed Forces so....
Either he doesn't know the Armed Forces are not headed up by Czars, or he doesn't mean it will be formed like the Space Force.
The news media lives on this sort of trash.
Remember the melt down when we got the year 2000?
All electronics will fail, airplanes and stock markets will crash... What happened? Nothing.
Modern environmentalism and things like Covid are other prime examples. Hyped up trash to a large degree.
There is always some small nugget of truth to these stories.
But by the time some activist and their organization (which needs you donations), a politician (that wants your vote) and the so called “news” (which sells stories and sensations and controversy helps with that) are finished tugging away on this story, it is blown out of proportion by 100 TIMES what is real.
Covid, .2% morality rate actual. Initially reported and even this was perpetuated by the government and political figures 20%. Literally, 100 TIMES what was real.
Fear, greed, sex make great stories. But to really get people to read or listen, you have to inflate the story and add controversy. Immigration, Covid, J6, racism, climate change, acid rain, anything environmental in the last 50-60 years...
If you write a story how climate is changing, possibly. How this may be related to human and industrial activity. And how all our best efforts to stop this will likely achieve nothing even if man made (all you’ll accomplish is deindustrialization of the West and fuel the industrial growth in other places like China) you’re not going to make Greta Thumberg and her parents rich! You’re not going to help get some politician elected. You’re not going to get more clicks on some news website. More donations for some group, or a grant from the federal government to study this.
