This video provides a summary and reaction to *SpaceX*'s recent Q2 earnings call, highlighting the company's rapid growth and shift in focus toward compute infrastructure and cloud services.
**Key Takeaways:**
* **Compute Infrastructure Expansion:** *SpaceX* is aggressively expanding its compute capacity, moving from 1.4 gigawatts in Q2 to an expected 5-10 gigawatts by the end of 2027 (1:04-1:25). This capacity is primarily dedicated to Cloud Service Agreements (CSAs) with partners like *Anthropic* and *Google* (2:10-2:16).
* **Financial Outlook:** Due to these high-margin CSAs, the company is seeing a one-year payback period on capital deployments (0:16-0:29). They are projecting an annual revenue run rate exceeding $100 billion by the end of 2026 (2:35-2:55), with internal projections suggesting $1 trillion in revenue could be reached by 2030 (7:33-7:40).
* **Starlink V3 & Mobile:** *Starlink* continues to scale globally, adding 1.7 million new customers in Q2 (3:59-4:03). The upcoming *V3* satellites are expected to offer an order of magnitude more capability (3:27-3:37), and *SpaceX* is expanding its direct-to-cell service using newly acquired *EchoStar* spectrum (4:54-5:02).
* **Partnership with NVIDIA:** *Elon Musk* confirmed a deep partnership with *NVIDIA* and *Jensen Huang*. *SpaceX* is using *NVIDIA* architecture for its 'Star Mind' AI satellites, which will be deployed both in orbit and in terrestrial data centers to improve efficiency (5:38-6:25).
* **Technical Progress:** *Musk* believes the *Starship* heat shield issues are largely resolved (8:43-8:57), and the company is preparing for *Flight 14* to debut *V3* satellite deployment (0:36-0:41).
Overall, the video characterizes *SpaceX* as an incredibly fast-growing entity, with the host comparing its current trajectory to the high-growth periods previously seen at *Tesla* (8:26-8:42).

Going to give IBM some competition in cloud services.
Will they be making Car Stereo Speakers or kitchen stoves?....................
Bring back DEC VAX/VMS!

“’Star Mind’ AI satellites, which will be deployed both in orbit and in terrestrial data centers”
Read that again, that could be a script line in a Star Wars / Star Trek movie as “Science Fiction,” but instead it is our current reality!
Good morning Gen-Zero!
Are you just sitting around, smoking weed, eating Cheetos and grabbing at the root?
Well, get on that I-Pad and start investing in “Space-X”!
Your meager savings could double in a few years and, while you collect your dole, you could be saving for your retirement at $5 increments.
Umm ... yeah ... boomer grandparents and Gen-X parents aren’t gonna help but like, screw them.
They will die in the Socialist revolution when we take over!
Long live Brawndo!

No ODC (Orbital Data Centers) mention?
I thought I was a Baby Boomer but the sitting around naked jn a bean bag chair, smoking weed, eating Cheetos and grabbing at the root description hits a little too close to home.
I had Grok make it easier to read.

It is of interest to learn about the breadth of the Musk companies. The examples are very numerous but the FSD Full Self Driving Cybercab is an example.
Today, all Tesla FSD cars have the benefit of over 8 billion on the road miles driving experience. Each knows what they all know and what all have done.
The comupter on board has tons of sensors that record all of what is in process around the vehicle. The computer knows where it is going and knows the experiences of other FSD cars that were headed to that point. All it is learning is transmitted via Starlink satellites to the AI data center.
Starlink and Tesla are very tightly integrated to allow functionality of FSD cars (and Semis) that can not be duplicated by any other FSD cars attempting to compete.
That is just the beginning. Optimus robots can have similar connectivity to learn tasks mastered by other Optimus robots.
There is lots of speculation about the financial merger of the Tesla and Starlink corporations that results in the pretty much merged functionality that already exists in practical hour to hour operations.
The Tesla Pi phone that exists as a phone, primarily exists as acces to the Tesla cars and Optimus robots and who knows what all else. The Tesla phone uses the Starlink global satellite connectivity. The chip manufacturing factory that is the largest in the world producing the most advanced chip in the world has Intel onboard to guide the manufacturing.
The reality is that it is all connected and related in an extremely complex web of inter connecting and intermeshed technical details that are for ordinary immortals, unfathomable.
Yeah ... sorry.
It was directed at the Late Gen-X cohort, 1976-1982.
“Compute Infrastructure Expansion:** *SpaceX* is aggressively expanding its compute capacity, moving from 1.4 gigawatts in Q2 to an expected 5-10 gigawatts……”
ONE POINT TWENTY ONE GIGAWATTS……….GREAT SCOTT!
RLTW
Interesting that compute power here is measured in gigawatts rather than something like megaflops “million floating point operations per second” as it used to be.
The problem with Elon’s companies is they have extremely high capex on innovation and rapid iteration. Traditional inventors want either dividends, or the stock price to go up. Dividends aren’t in the picture so that leaves the stock share price. That’s tough to value with capex so high the PE ratios are either negative with SPCX, or equal to the share price with TSLA.
I bought TSLA in the fall of 22 and spring of 23 at PE ratios of 34-45. I sold most of it at 471 and a PE ratio of 350 or so. Right now for TSLA to be at 34 PE earnings would have to go up 10x. When will that happen?
For the traditional investor both have to be very long term plays.
Ah, those were the days! I had a VAXMate at home for work and later purchased my own DEC Rainbow PC on the employee purchase plan. Had no idea what I was going to do with the enormous 300 MB HD.
The confirmation came during a face-to-face meeting with residents and local officials at the Grimes County Commissioners Court in Anderson, Texas. SpaceX representatives said civil work will begin almost immediately, with construction potentially starting within months.
Terafab was the final missing piece of the puzzle, and now it is officially happening.
A massive chip factory that will combine logic, memory and advanced packaging under one roof, giving Tesla and SpaceX the chips needed to scale their biggest ambitions.
• Planned size: 100 million square feet
• Target output: 1 terawatt per year
• Chips for Tesla FSD and Optimus
• Chips for SpaceX’s future space systems
• AI compute on Earth and in orbit
• Long-term vision: orbital compute and lunar mass drivers
Terafab will become the manufacturing backbone for the future of AI, robotics, autonomous vehicles and space. 🚀
Terafab Texas will be the largest and most valuable building on Earth by far.
And it will be stunningly beautiful.
