Hours after Trump canceled a planned strike and said the outlines of a deal had been reached, a regime-linked Iranian outlet said the strategic waterway would remain closed as long as US ‘hostile actions’ continue.
Iran on Sunday denied that it had reached any agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, directly contradicting U.S. President Donald Trump hours after he canceled a planned strike and announced that the outlines of a deal had been reached.
“There is no agreement on reopening the Strait of Hormuz,” Iran’s regime-linked Fars news agency reported. “As long as the United States continues its hostile actions, the strait will remain closed.”
A senior Iranian military source told the agency that ships would be permitted to pass only through a designated route and with authorization from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy.
*** The statement marked another sharp clash between Trump’s public account of negotiations and Tehran’s version of events.
Trump announced early Sunday that he had called off a planned American attack after Iran and several other Middle Eastern countries asked Washington to refrain from striking and said that the basic parameters of a possible agreement had been settled.
“The U.S.A. is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Despite this, we have just been asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern Countries, to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to.”
Trump said the emerging understandings would include the “immediate, complete, and total opening” of the Strait of Hormuz and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat.
“Based on this request, I have agreed, for the future benefit of the world and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a deal,” he wrote.***

Here we go again , stop letting them play with you ,LOL
“Here we go again ...”
Exactly! I was about to post “We’ve seen this movie before” for the same thought.
The IRGC has no central command.
You can get an agreement with one group, but that doesn’t mean the other 157 are going to go along with it.
Iran—There is no agreement. (After assuring negotiators there is an agreement.)
US: There is no massive bombing. We are pulling back again.
A shame only the US tells the truth.
It’s like negotiating with a Portland, OR gang or something. “Chaz says there is no deal”. There is no organization there, it is just a mob of power-hungry thugs projecting authority and legitimacy.

Musical chairs until Iran has no more to sit on—and they can’t get out alive, and the suffering public turns on them like a pack of dogs (appropriate for muslims to be taken out by dogs)
Whoever is leading the fight with all of the sophisticated weapons and operations and coordinating them as responses is the dominant leadership.
This is not being conducted by a bunch of random scattered groups with no coordination.
That’s the problem when you start a war. The enemy has a vote.
Just sayin.
Evidently that's not the "dominant leadership" Trump is negotiating with.
Looks like Iran has not read “The Art of The Deal”......../s.
That’s when you walk in, dust them all lightly with high-speed particles of lead and call it a day. Problem solved.
I think we have 2,500 years of Persians being buttheads.
Looks like a pattern.
Take out or seize Kharg and this all ends.
Describes Iranian leadership precisely.
So we are back to this again.
Why do you say that? You think that he is talking to someone there and that just random events are happening with no connection to whoever he is talking to, or that he talks to someone and then another coordinated single group does all the attacks, or that he talks to the someone and then just a bunch of random stuff happens, or what?
