86 billion is a drop in the bucket of what the USA owes.
the total debt of the USA is almost $40 trillion dollars, so $86 billion is like a spit in the ocean ... so what’s the point of this ridiculous attempt to gen up fake fear? ...

The U.S. may be $40 trillion in debt, but the U.S. Treasury doesn't float new bonds every day. There is a bond auction scheduled tomorrow for 4-week and 8-week T-bills.
The 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 4.67% today, rising back toward the 4.71% rate from last week that was the highest it's been since Trump was inaugurated for the second time in January 2025.
