In the summer of 2018, almost no one thought Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could beat Joe Crowley. Crowley was a 10-term incumbent, the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House, a man some thought would one day be speaker. A 28-year-old former bartender and democratic socialist was the longest of long shots to succeed him. But ever since she did, the political establishment has been trying to decide whether to take her seriously.
For a while it decided not to. The Missouri representative Emanuel Cleaver said the Democratic caucus did not need her “sniping”, while the then senator Claire McCaskill dismissed her as a “bright and shiny new object”. Ocasio-Cortez seemed to enjoy the response. Asked on 60 Minutes whether she wanted people to underestimate her, she said: “Absolutely. That’s how I won my primary.”
American socialism has produced dazzling individuals before. A little more than a century ago, Eugene Debs won nearly a million votes for president, while his socialist party sent Victor Berger to Congress, elected more than a thousand of its members to office and ran city halls from Schenectady to Milwaukee. Then it was gone, broken by wartime repression and its own splits, and eventually absorbed into a New Deal coalition that adopted parts of its program while denying it an independent political role. Imagine being so brainwashed and delusional that you think that idiot should hold the most important and difficult job on the planet.
She seems to be a created being. Like a meme.
AOC got 4% of 737,000 voters in her district , oh she’ll do great for the whole country ,LOL
AOC vs Rubio, guess who wins.
Why, because brainless PR pineapples squadmembers make better presidents than Americans?
It’s the Guardian, Jim
Blackcat Sneakers is why we don’t want foreigners voting in our elections.
Who cares what someone in England thinks about our country. We kicked them to the curb a long, long time ago.
And the US is the capital !
We just got rid of an idiot President; we don’t need another.

Communism plus stupid equals SheGuvera.
Whatever, Limey.
Only 4.52 years left.
Hopefully she runs and is the democrat nominee.
However, there is no way after 2016 & 2024 that’s going to happen.
I’ll be taunting the democrat base with this theme:
“The 3rd time is the charm,” while the political reality is if they nominated AOC, “It’ll be three strikes & you’re out.”
AOC isn’t Presidential material & never will be, but keeping her in the news keeps the “true blue believers” motivated for the future.
THE GUARDIAN, FOR GOD’S SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!
No she shouldn’t!
