‘Ro’ Me the Money! How Progressive Class Warrior Ro Khanna Lives Like the Oligarchs He ‘Fights,’ With In-Home Elevator, $190K Range Rover, and Family-Owned Golf Courses.
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | June 30, 2026 | Andrew Kerr

Khanna’s ultra-wealthy family depends on the same kind of secretive financial accounting and unearned wealth that he criticizes on the stump

Rep. Ro Khanna (D., Calif.) has emerged as a potential contender for the Democratic presidential nomination while denouncing the ultra-rich who "hoard wealth and engage in financial speculation." But the progressive, Silicon Valley congressman and his family live a life of staggering luxury, fueled by dynastic wealth they did not earn and protected by the same thicket of trusts, anonymous corporations, and foundations that Khanna condemns.

Khanna lives in a $6 million, 8,000-square-foot luxury home with a four-story elevator and so much premium marble that even the two laundry rooms have marble counters. The Northwest Washington, D.C., home is now for sale, as the Khanna family prepares to move to an even larger, more expensive house a few miles away in the Northern Virginia suburbs. Khanna’s two children, who are minors, have large ownership shares in three private golf clubs, a significant stake in a $65 billion wealth management firm, and investments in hedge funds that focus on distressed debt, of which Khanna has been critical. Khanna’s wife drives a $190,000 Range Rover she was so displeased with that she sued the dealer.

A Washington Free Beacon investigation into Khanna’s finances finds that the progressive truthteller’s lifestyle is funded by his wife, Ritu Ahuja Khanna, an heiress to her father’s Cleveland auto parts fortune. An analysis of Khanna’s financial disclosures reveals his gilded life is enriched by the same sort of investment vehicles that Khanna has said he has a "moral" duty to oppose and that Khanna’s family is a beneficiary of the "New Gilded Age" he condemns.

Khanna’s family wealth comes from his father in law, Monte Ahuja, an Indian-born, Cleveland auto parts magnate turned investor and philanthropist.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

I suggest reading the full article. It's a dozy that goes on and on about the wealth and hypocrisy of this greasy CA slimeball. It's difficult to believe, but he actually makes many Dimocrats look good by comparison.

Progressive Class Warrior Ro Khanna

Most people don't understand that Ro Khanna and progressives and liberals, all work hard (in congress and in government) to get wealthy and live like oligarchs, and what they're after is to show their constituents that, they too can live high on the hog. Just vote democrat, and those voters will be living the high-life, like Ro Khanna and Pelosi and Omar.

“Monte Ahuja came to the United States in 1969 from India to attend graduate school at Ohio State University, where he earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He then came to Cleveland where he completed his MBA at Cleveland State University (CSU), while working various jobs to support himself and his education. As part of his coursework at CSU, he developed the business plan for Transtar, which was profitable after the first year in 1975. Today, Transtar Industries is the leading worldwide distributor of quality transmission parts to the motor vehicle repair industry, with annual revenues of more than $550 million.

“While in graduate school, Monte met Usha, a gold medalist for mathematics in India who came to the U.S. to complete her PhD in mathematics. They were married in 1979 and, in the decades that followed, Monte focused on building Transtar Industries and Usha taught math at the college level. Throughout their marriage, they have remained business partners and personal confidantes.”

Politicians aren’t necessarily intelligent, but they are clever. They’ve reduced political discourse to red team vs. blue team. I have yet to see an indiscretion committed by a politician that would prevent those supporters of his or her team from voting for that politician.

Politicians from "both" parties are nearly all lying fakes who tell you what they know you want to hear without believing a word of it. Is this guy a giant hypocrite? Sure.

But look at the GOP, were they all giant lying hypocrites when they said for years that they'd repeal Obamacare or secure elections or countless other things? Absolutely.

“”So, he has a DC house and a California dacha. How very Stalinesque of him.””

I don’t see anything in the article about owning a house in CA - a condo in Naples, FL is mentioned... Why hasn’t there been a brouhaha about him owning/residing in a home in DC and not in the CA district he represents? Why was Swallwell singled out for just that same thing? Democrat and all!!

Moving to a new house in McLean, VA would still have him living outside of his CA district. Some congress critters do reside in DC in temporary quarters - even have had some living in their congressional office -but the entire family NOT in the district he represents?

WHOOPS! This is an exception. How hard has he had to work when his wife and her family have all the money? Why isn’t he sitting on a beach somewhere? WHY work at all? Apparently, he wants power but WHY - sitting at home is boring??
