The debate surrounding Karmelo Anthony’s trial has also drawn attention to his life in prison following his conviction. Anthony, 19, was convicted of the murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf on June 9, 2026. He was initially booked into the Collin County Jail before being transferred the following day to the Wallace Pack Unit in Texas.
Anthony is not being housed in the general prison population. Because of the high-profile nature of the case, he has remained in protective custody since his transfer to the Wallace Pack Unit. Recent reports also indicate that he is receiving special meals while in custody.

According to sources cited by the Daily Mail, Anthony is provided with a fixed weekly meal plan that includes several high-protein and savory meals. His breakfast reportedly consists of pancakes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, burritos on Tuesdays, and fried eggs on Thursdays.

Someone should ask Metcalf's parents how tough it must be for Anthony's parents.
I wonder if they are going to allow him to carry a knife in prison too.
He may be regarded as a hero by many of the black inmates...but not so much by the others.
He’s now just another inmate with a DOC #.
Other than hoping the Metcalf family files a civil lawsuit, time to move on I say.
That baby thug has taken up enough of people’s attention.
“....time to move on I say.”
Right. The only thing I want to read about Anthony in prison is how the Aryan Brotherhood was allegedly responsible for his death.
Yeah this is TMI IMHO.
His parents shouldn’t need to travel any long distances to bring him an epilepsy med. There should be a pharmacy in or on the prison premises. I would think most prisoners have some medical need, especially the older ones.
If he parents insist on providing some ‘medication’,it’s probably a PRN or elective medication, like certain vitamins.
I wonder what breakfasts Austin liked to eat.
I saw a professionally printed sign by a main road this morning that said, “Justice for Karmelo.”
No, I couldn’t stop to rip it up.
He will only get justice in the hereafter, I’m afraid.
Correction “I hope Karmelo gets tube steak.”
Wait - the warden is allowing Anthony’s parents to supply him with outside drugs, and is allowing special meals? Time to investigate the Texas Department of Corrections, and that unit specifically.
Agreed. If it were up to me, the only “meal plan” choice Caramelo would get is a choice between having his neck broken in a noose or being electrocuted to death in the chair. He murdered a kid in cold blood for shoving him - and for being white.
The prisoner’s pitiful lament....

Heard his avocado toast yesterday was bland and his coffee was not Fair Trade Certified or approved by the Rainforest Alliance.
Texas has what’s called therapeutic prisons. They have probably housed him there.
“His breakfast reportedly consists of pancakes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, burritos on Tuesdays, and fried eggs on Thursdays.” All that for killing a white boy?
</grin>
Maybe he will contract diabetes eating all those carbs...
