In a few weeks, President Trump plans to issue 250 pardons to mark America’s 250th birthday. Four names belong near the top of that list: John Miller, David Cari, Dennis Spaulding, and Jason Zullo, all former East Haven, Connecticut, police officers whom the Obama Justice Department turned into federal felons for simply doing their jobs.

State charges
I hate doing things like this where a certain number of people are pardoned just to match some magic number. Does this not make a mockery of the justice system? Are you saying you just have 250 innocent people sitting in prison who shouldn’t be there or are you saying there are 250 convicted felons who deserve forgiveness? I’d bet neither is true.
They were charged by the DOJ with Federal civil rights violations.
