Retired four-star Gen. Jack Keane said enough with the diplomatic charade — Iran is stalling for time and the best solution is to resume full-scale war.
The chairman of the Institute for the Study of War and former Army vice chief of staff on Friday blasted eight weeks of fruitless talks as a waste while the mullahs play games.
“We have to accept the reality that’s just not going to happen,” Keane said on Fox News. “They have one motive: Stretch out negotiations as much as possible, get as close to the political situation in terms of midterm elections, and there will be less likelihood that President Trump would ever pull the trigger and go back to military operations. I believe that is their unstated strategy.”

Ghey don’t care about the blockade. They have limited supplies via the Caspian and the Silk Road. The IRGC could care less is some Iranians starved. Fhere are plenty of true believers after 47 years. Heck they fought a 7 year war with Iraq after only 2 years of the Islamic Republic. And they figure all they need do is keep going till November. If the Dems win Congress they will strangle Trump the way Congress paralyzed Ford in 75. And if this situation drags on till Nov the odds will be with the Dems.
The Israelis can take out Iran’s oil and fertilizer industries, and will, if necessary.

The army people have relatives, lots of them, and guns.
We largely got into this because of the harsh crackdown on internal demonstrations. Nuking the kinds of people who are demonstrating is not useful. We use nukes on them, Russia may use tactical nukes in Ukraine.
Their military is leveled, their war-making capacity is withered. They are no longer able to meddle in the Middle East to the same degree.
Using a nuke to keep them from losing a nuke guarantees more nuclear proliferation.
