There are still some Trump supporters out there who continue to bill the Trump administration as some kind of great victory for the forces of populism against the “deep state.” A year into the second Trump administration, it is clear this is not a serious position. The populism of the Trump campaign has clearly failed and what we ended up with instead is a continuation and strengthening of the status quo. Over the next three years of this second Trump term, the welfare-warfare state will only get larger...
Consequently, the only hope in providing any truly limiting factors on state power will be the dismemberment of the state into smaller and weaker pieces. It will be necessary to check power with power through true decentralization. This is why the Soviet state never re-emerged under a new name with similar prerogatives...
We can conclude that any American who actually values human freedom—and its necessary antecedent, the weakening of the central state—will desire a similar dismemberment of the United States. After all, as the French revolution showed us, it is not enough to simply transfer the regime from the hands of one elite to another. Rather, radical decentralization, via secession and other means, will have to take place in order to create new power centers and new elites that can push back against the established elites and power centers of the rump state. Only when power is allowed to check power will there be any meaningful institutional limits on state power.

Trump has laid off or fired, last time I checked, 12% of the Federal Workers. That sounds like draining the swamp to me. Maybe not as much as I would want, but a start.
I am not perfectly satisfied with everything Trump has done. But this guy needs to take a breath.
Here’s an interesting thing about the United States. We preach self-determination. We belief that people in any region have the right to choose their own destinies.
Except in the United States. Try to secede from the United States, and federal troops will come a’knocking at your door.
The Income Tax Free & Property Tax Free Country Act of 2026
Each state government shall be entitled to create new countries that shall be forever revenue limited to motor fuel and personal property sales taxation.
The territory of each country shall be such that navigation to an ocean or the Gulf of Mexico is possible.
These new countries and their citizens shall be legally independent of all existing domestic governments and courts.
Each American citizen who becomes a citizen and permanent resident of such a country shall not suffer a revenue imposition from any domestic government of the United States.
The President of the United States shall have a duty to enter into a treaty with each new country:
1. providing for the above,
2. ensuring that country shall have free navigation to and from international waters in perpetuity, and
3. barring the placement of foreign military means within the physical bounds of the country.
That can be done by majority vote.

The swamp is very much directed from the top.
Very likely true, especially if the Democrats are in control in DC...
:^)
When that did not happen they got all shooty.
When that happens you have a war.
Not the best way to work out a process for leaving.
More TDS BS from liberaltarians.
“But this guy needs to take a breath.”
The first third I read is nonsense. He sets up a narrative and does not allow any facts in that contradict his preplanned outcome.
What hinders Trump more than the democrats are the Republicans.

**We preach self-determination. Except in the United States. Try to secede from the United States, and federal troops will come a’knocking at your door.**
I’m one that believes in self determination. To break up the world along ethnic/religious lines would establish 5,000 countries. Is that bad? Territorial lies would have to be honored. Think Greater Idaho, Quebec, Kurdistan, Taiwan, Tibet. How many US territories? A worldwide Article of Confederation? No fighting over territories? Pollyanish.
Mises Institute and Lew Rockwell have been pushing secession for 30 years. They have a very superficial take on it that ignores the real-world consequences that secession would actually have.
I agree 100%. He deserves to be cut some slack. Also, the current de-gerrymandering of several US states could just save the nation.
If the integrity of the election system isn’t restored and maintained — something the GOP-controlled Senate is clearly loathe to do — I calculate that it will take less than a full term after the Democrat/Communist/Jihadist Party cheats their way to full control and reverse and destroy everything Trump has accomplished … everything and then some.
1) Ask Elon for a loan. Good luck.
2) Against all odds you get the loan. Purchase an uninhabited island.
3) Move there. Out of thin air, manufacture something someone wants to pay you for.
4) Create a defense force to secure your assets.
5) Enjoy your newfound freedom from the Greatest Country in the World.
Good luck. Someone will take it t from you.
😂😂😂😂
Passage of the 17th Amendment to the Constitution is where the country went off the rails. The House of Representatives was the People’s house, the Senate was controlled by the states who appointed Senators. This kept the government in check.
