Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch said the Supreme Court system is “working” in a Sunday interview where he reflected on the country’s founding principles.
....
“Americans file about 50 million lawsuits a year, and you give us the 70 hardest ones, where lower court judges have disagreed about what the law means about a statute or a provision of the Constitution dictates in a particular case — there are nine of us. Can you get nine people to agree on where to go to lunch?” he asked Bream.
“All right, we’ve been appointed by five different presidents over 30 years, and yet we’re able to resolve those cases unanimously, about 40 percent of the time. So, when you bear that in mind, say the system is working pretty much as it has for a very, very long time,” he added.

SCOTUS used to rule on about 200 cases per year. Now they rule on about 70. That alone blunts the impact the SCOTUS is making. Get back to cranking out hundreds of cases per year and reverse a lot of the BS the activist courts of the 60s and 70s required.
A moment of clarity from Judge Gorsuch. Bless you for posting it. The left wants no such clarity, only chaos.
You only hear about the cases of major political or cultural consequence. Most Supreme Court cases involve arcane minutiae of law that doesn’t affect 99% of Americans.
There are cases the Johnny and the Supremes must take by law, and then there are writs for certiorari. His reference to 70 is to the latter the latter. They might still be around 200 combined.
I read the number of certs was around 80, but my theory is with all the anti-Trump judicial activism going on, and Trump’s administration appealing them, this might have cause the writs for cert to be reduced.
SC should not matter who appointed justices, but sadly this is where we are
Perhaps next ruling one of the “justices” will cite Aztec law😎
I would agree with Justice Gorsuch doesn’t mean I agree with everything the court does but it’s doing it.
Can we overturn KELO yet?
What days?
Judicial appointments are first and foremost political weapons for the rats. No one could look at Jackson and conclude that idiot is worthy of the SC. It is disgraceful how many “Republicans” voted for her confirmation. Venue is everything now. If a case lands in front of one of these hacks the outcome is set without a word of testimony
Only Republicans Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins voted for her.
The usual cast of idiots. Even Lindsey Graham didn’t vote to confirm her, and he confirms everybody.
And that’s 3 too many.
Greatest missed hanging curveball was when “she” was asked the definition of a woman, and she said I am not a biologist should have been immediately followed up with “so biology determine what a women is and not choice?”
lol additionally there will be words, just none that are logical and comprehendible😂😔🤮
As I see it, there are 3 for whom it is a slam-dunk certainly that they will vote wrong.
...which is on the voters of those three states that repeatedly send these three back to Washington.
