Former Vice President Kamala Harris criticized the Supreme Court’s ruling in which a race-based redistricting map in Louisiana was struck down, stating that the ruling “guts the Voting Rights Act.”
In a post on X, Harris expressed that the ruling was “an outrage,” and added that it was “part of an agenda that conservatives set in place decades ago to steal power from everyday people.” Harris also stated that the “court’s decision is motivated by politics and designed to give an upper hand” to President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
“Today’s Supreme Court ruling guts the Voting Rights Act and turns back the block on the foundational promise of equality and fairness in our election systems,” Harris wrote. “Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act was one of the last remaining protections for Black and brown voters against maps deliberately drawn to dilute their political power. That protection has been stripped away.”

Kamala always gets lippy after a box of wine. Sad.
So this means blacks can’t vote?
Kneepads wouldn’t comment on this if she wasn’t going to try and get installed again. She’s a divisive racist
They are telling their base that they cannot vote for the candidate of their choice. But do not explain how that is possible...........
Race is al that matters to a racist
The 1965 voting rights act states discrimination based on race is illegal.
The left ran with it and only took one side of the defined word “discrimination”.
Establishing congressional districts based on race also means you cannot give an ADVANTAGE to however the black minority typically votes (Democratic).
The assumed ONLY use of the word “discrimination” at the time the law was passed was to prevent manipulating the boundaries to DISADVANTAGE and neuter the black minority vote.
No discrimination based on race means no advantage OR disadvantage to give the black minority more vote effect OR less vote effect.
No discrimination works both ways.
Hey if the left were to just deport all the millions they brought here for congressional seats this would all be solved, 25 congressional seats they did not earn, they stuffed the districts full of illegals giving them seats
Can you eliminate the 16th Amendment while you are at it?
Of course.
Then do the 19th and the 17th.

Free at last! Free at last to finally say any damn thing that pops into her feeble mind!
.
I think the Voting Rights Act was gutted about 10 years ago by a previous Supreme Court ruling.
The rat politburo know, but they pretend not to k ow, that when medicine has had the intended cure, you stop administering it. That’s what this decision did
Finally!!!
Glad you posted this because it represents how far the country has descended into the pits of grievance and entitlement. Harris’s post is factually misleading, legally backwards, and steeped in the very racial essentialism it pretends to oppose. It drips with entitlement by demanding government-engineered racial outcomes in elections rather than neutral rules where voters of every background compete equally. By the Court’s rejecting the idea that government must sort voters into racial buckets to guarantee group outcomes is a political and cultural sea change. Taking our country back! This calls for bourbon.
that was the point!
it is WAY past time to gut that unconstitutional piece of crap
“So this means blacks can’t vote?”
It means their votes now carry the same weight as everyone else, to the dismay of Kamala who can’t stand that reality.
