President Donald Trump berated CBS News correspondent Norah O'Donnell and "60 Minutes" Sunday night after reading from the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting suspect's alleged manifesto.
Trump sat down for an interview after authorities identified the suspect as 31-year-old Cole Allen, of Torrance, Calif., adding that he prepared a manifesto outlining his intent and shared anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric on social media.
O'Donnell read alleged portions of the document that alluded to concerns over a rapist and a pedophile and asked for Trump's reaction.
Well, I was waiting for you to read that because I knew you would because you're horrible people," Trump answered. "Horrible people. Yeah, he did write that. I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anybody."
"Do you think he was referring to you?" O'Donnell asked.
"I'm not a pedophile. You read that crap from some sick person? I got associated with all...stuff that has nothing to do with me. I was totally exonerated. Your friends on the other side of the plate are the ones that were involved with, let's say, Epstein or other things. But I said to myself, 'You know, I'll do this interview and they'll probably...' I read the manifesto. You know, he's a sick person. But you should be ashamed of yourself reading that because I'm not any of those things," Trump said.
O'Donnell interrupted to argue that she was quoting the alleged gunman's words, but Trump continued to call her "disgraceful."

Yeah, you disingenuous hack. You and your media cohorts perpetuate and encourage that and many other lies about Trump and then you act all innocent and surprised.
Trump went way too easy on her.
O'Donnell read alleged portions of the document that alluded to concerns over a rapist and a pedophile and asked for Trump's reaction.
He shouldn't gone on her show in the first place. I don't know why these unforced PR errors have to be made this late in the game...
THAT is one reason Trump did the interview - to call out media & specifically NOD to her face.
It put him on the defensive, brought the story from he shooting to the Epstein files, and he re-legitimizes legacy media simply by showing up.
I saw a clip of MSNBC hosts today calling out Leftist conspiracy theories surrounding the event -as they were there. Even they would have offered a better interview than O’Donnell, who is just SO insufferable!
She and Margaret Brennan are the worst. Remember the Vance-Walz debate they ‘moderated’ ? That should be lesson learned in itself.
It put him on the defensive, brought the story from he shooting to the Epstein files, and he re-legitimizes legacy media simply by showing up.
This assassination attempt will not be included as a left-wing attack. Those who tabulate these things only include people who are MEMBERS of what is classified as a left-wing group. The US media are not classified as left-wing, and even if they were the people they influence are not “members”.
So none of the assassination attempts - of Trump, Scalise, Rand Paul, Charlie Kirk, etc - are considered “left-wing” even though they are motivated by left-wing rhetoric.
In addition, riots are not considered left-wing, even if done by left-wing groups, and any violence from them is considered “crimes of opportunity” or too “complicated” to classify as left-wing violence.
In this particular case, a guy who seems to have been pretty normal and basically conscientious believed the slander about Trump and it led him to try to “protect” the country by doing violence, much like Operation Rescue tries to protect innocent babies from dangerous “doctors”. And yet the people who have slandered Trump will be held blameless legally and - if people like Norah have their way - morally as well.
What I would really like is if there really was a tape of E Jean Carroll telling the DNC she was not raped by Trump, and the whole lie came down including all those who funded her and all those who believed her lies. Her “friends” who said she reported it to them, but nobody could remember when. Etc.
The laws/interpretations regarding slander make it impossible for innocent people to get justice. Grok informed me the other day that I am considered a “public” person because of my blog. So if I wanted to prove defamation I would have to not only prove that libelous claims were false, but also that the person who made the claims knew they were false and that they specifically wanted to hurt me through the lies - and I would have to prove the damage that they caused. Impossible to do, because no matter what information I presented they would never even look at it. If you spout off absolute crap with your eyes and ears closed you are considered “innocent” - regardless of how much damage you inflict on somebody else. It’s so wrong.
And most people don’t give a rip. It’s incredibly sad.
Disgraceful doesn’t even scratch the surface of how vile and loathsome the shameless vultures at 60 minutes are.
You do yourself no favors going on those shows Mr. President.
Nope.
He was ready and, stated to her face, he was waiting for NOD to mention the manifesto...then ripped her and her media traitors.
Yes. She knew what she was doing and whom it was hurting. Just like the rest of them. Pushing the evil by propagating the manifestos of despicable people is necessary. Before the Unabomber the media used to honor a policy of self restraint.
One of the reasons for assassins to act is to glorify their name by having it repeated and to memorialize their ideas in a manifesto. Unstable people see others and are motivated to compete with them to do worse.
Thus, Norah O’Donnell is guilty.
President Trump's weak point is his ego. The good news is that his ego is invulnerable, so Margaret was just the fish in his barrel today.
“Norah, you ignorant slut” might have worked 🤣
This is all part of the legacy media schtick. They think they will be untouched by the civil war they are promoting.
If I were Trump, I would have asked her “How many assassination attempts should I endure before you cheerleaders for these nuts get the message?”
What was once humor is now reality. Same with Monty Python
Good point.
It was the media’s equivalent of “Have you stopped beating your wife?”........
