I don’t think Iran ever pretended to obey the cease fire.

Trump is trying hard to negotiate a settlement that meet's US requirements rather than pound Iran even more, but that is unlikely to succeed.

No real negotiations were possible with the original regime as it would have refused US demands, hemmed, hawed and dissimulated as it tried to restart its nuke enrichment and build more missiles. So it had to be softened up by killing the leadership and pounding Iran's military.

The problem is that removing the pre-existing leadership structure has taken the IRGC off its leash and the IRGC itself may have splintered into factions, each of which controls its own arsenal.

There may no longer be any central control over Iran.

I was in a long que to visit the Kotel Maaravi when the cease fire was announced, and there were boisterous cheers. Turned to someone in the line and said, “it’s been five minutes. Is the cease fire still on?” He laughed.

It’s like Lucy Van Pelt’s definition of a gentleman: “I can hit him but he won’t hit back.”

Once they can’t attack the UAE, Qatar, Israel, et al, the time will be ripe for the people to come out full bore.

That was Trumps plan all along.

Lets see who wants to “Play Ball.”

Have you had any close missile or drone strikes in Israel?

Tousi's channel on youtube is a great source of information. I try to watch every live stream.

Perhaps not a great analogy, but I’m thinking of the Native Americans. They never had real “nation states” in a European sense. They were groups and tribes wandering around a continent. Nothing like any central leadership. So we used that. Find a tribe that didn’t really want to fight, give them a sweet deal, and wipe out the groups that did want to fight. Divide and conquer. Pick some helpful friends, destroy unhelpful enemies. In the end, the whole civilization is just a shambles.

That one is actually a couple days old. If you search on youtube for “Tousi TV latest today” you can see the most recent broadcasts.

Yesterday he talked about the negotiators being in a no-win situation. Trump will only accept surrender from them. But they’ve been claiming to the public that the US is defeated & the talks are so the US can surrender. Already the IRGC peeps have said anybody who supports negotiations should be killed, and the way around that was to say the talks are so the US can surrender. If they sign any deal that Trump’s peeps accept, these negotiators will be killed when they get back to Iran.

Trump has them all in checkmate. No matter what they choose, these negotiators - and the IRGC - will not survive.

All irrelevant.

The point is that PDJT offered a truce/negotiations and the rag-heads violated it as he knew they would.

Game on.

I think it's possible to make a deal with a couple of factions to secure the straits, get the enriched uranium, and stop attacks on Iran's neighbors.

But that certainly won't be easy: look at Gaza-- the Israelis still have to deal with Hamas.

I’ve been assuming this was probably the case for at least a couple of weeks.

With so many in leadership positions gone, along with a lot of communication infrastructure, there has to be a certain level of chaos within the organization. Those that would usually do the promoting are gone, so a natural power struggle unfolds.

I thought this might have actually been the real reason for the ceasefire, maybe a more reasonable faction was gaining control and PDJT wanted to see how things unfolded before continuing.

I’d give the ceasefire holding very low change of sustaining due to this, some nutjobs will just continue to fire off rockets.

Not in my experience. Tousi TV is one of the best sources for real news, and is constantly vindicated after the facts become publicly known.
