The U.S. birth rate hit a record low in 2025, according to a new report released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Last year, there were 3,606,400 births β€” a one percent decline from 2024. The general fertility rate also fell by one percent from 2024, to 53.1 births per 1,000 women between the ages of 15 and 44, the CDC found.

β€œThe [general fertility] rate has generally declined since 2007, decreasing by 23 percent,” the CDC report states.

At the same time, the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute estimated that more than 1.1 million unborn babies were killed in abortions in 2025.

“Total fertility rate must be at around 2.1 children per woman for a population to remain stable and at replacement level. The rate fell to 1.6 children per woman in 2024.”

Better import more QUALIFIED immigrants who will not add to welfare load, such as work-visa workers with job offers.

Otherwise people under age 60 will face drastic cuts in social security and horrible cuts in Medicare.

It is quite possible that the Amish will save America.

Their women are having an average of 7-8 children.

Also:

“””In recent decades, the Amish have been shifting away from agriculture. Now, only about one-third of Amish men remain in agriculture, while the other two-thirds are engaged in manufacturing, construction, woodworking, small businesses, blacksmithing, and trades jobs.”””

Here is a great article about all of this:

https://spectator.org/amish-population-surpasses-400000/

When the Hussein/Biden Regime ignored the hurricane damage in North Carolina, the Amish stepped up. They arrived and built some simple housing for those who lost everything.

Industrialization.
A woman can operate a machine.
A child can, and soon
we don’t need either.
A computer I designed, build,
and program can do the
job better.

Our problem is what to do
with our populations.
They need water, food, shelter,
and fulfilling lives.
They aren’t going to get
those.

I’m not God.
I don’t really know how to solve
such a problem.

1. Deportations seem to be working.

2. Closing the borders is also working.

3. And maybe the news about the USA being against birth tourism is having an effect.

Should all 29 year-old women freeze their eggs? Read about it in France. An older mom can be a good mom if she has nothing else to do. There is a motherly instinct in almost all women-trust me. Even the nut jobs should bring at least one in the world for her physical health. The mental stuff will follow-trust me again. How will they afford the cost? Let me just say it takes a village-heard it somewhere.

Gen Z doesn’t date very much. A large percentage of young men have walked away and have next to no interest in relationships, family or children. Part of the reason is affordability, but feminism and wokeness are also factors. Young men don’t seem to tolerate young women very well, and also young women don’t tolerate young men very well. The birth rates are only going to get worse in the years to come.

I could live with the Amish repopulating the Earth! I love our Amish. We have a large community of them in our area. Not unusual to come upon a horse and buggy on our country roads.

My nearest neighbor is ex-Amish. I’ve never asked him why he left, but he and a few of his brothers did. He appreciates my home-grown tomatoes, as they don’t have time to garden with their horse farm. The best compliment I’ve EVER gotten was, ‘Girl! You can sure grow a tomato! These taste just like my Mom’s!’

Never in a million years did I ever think that the ‘Emergency Contact’ in my phone would be one ‘Enos Yoder,’ LOL!

Salt of the Earth, that guy! He’s bailed me out many a time so far. Helped me round up an escaped hunting dog, AND an escaped steer. Pulled my mower out when I got it stuck UNDER the deck - don’t ask, LOL!

Best. Neighbor. Ever. EVER!

Second time I've heard of "affordability" on this thread. That's a buzz word invented by the Democratic Party.

I agree with you on feminism and wokeness.

I admit that I don’t like the current term “affordability”.

But it is a real fact that wages in this country have been flat since about 1970. And inflation has been a constant problem. And under Biden, the inflation was especially bad. And there are factors (Blackstone, Vanguard) that are making ownership of single family homes very challenging for young people. And Obamacare did make health insurance and healthcare in general a lot more expensive. It’s a tough time to be young and to try to get on solid financial footing.
