The Facts Justify President Trump's Actions on Iran
American Thinker ^ | 03/18/2026 | Joseph Ford Cotto

President Trump has faced an unavoidable showdown.

Iran gleefully spent almost half a century waging economic and military warfare against the United States.

This horror show cost Americans trillions and killed hundreds of U.S. troops through proxy attacks and direct acts of terror.

From the 1979 oil production collapse that plunged output from 6 million barrels per day to 1.5 million, sending global oil prices from $15 a barrel to $39 per barrel, to the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing that killed 19 Air Force personnel, Iran’s actions were lethal and costly.

Every failed negotiation, every embargo, and every sanction merely highlighted Tehran’s refusal to respect global norms. Operation Epic Fury was not an impulsive strike. It was an overdue, necessary campaign to protect American lives, restore economic stability, and prevent Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Since the opening hours of Operation Epic Fury, the mission has been precise and unambiguous.

The U.S. Armed Forces targeted Iran’s ballistic missile arsenal, destroyed naval capabilities, dismantled production facilities, and severed support for terrorist proxies. Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Central Command, emphasized the operation’s unprecedented scope to eliminate Iran’s ability to threaten Americans and allies in the region.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified that the campaign ensures Iran will never hide behind short-term missile stockpiles or rebuild its navy. Every major military objective has been met with lethal precision and ruthless efficiency.

The U.S. military’s dominance is clear, particularly against an opponent whose explicit foreign policy is the death of America.

Exactly who is the audience for the facts? TDS doesn’t allow anything that touches President Trump to be considered above garbage. Where would we be if these people were still in charge. Their policies would still be self serving and monetarily draining.

This horror show cost Americans trillions and killed hundreds of U.S. troops through proxy attacks and direct acts of terror.

One of the things I'd point out is that these "hundreds of U.S. troops" killed "through proxy attacks and direct acts of terror" were only exposed to these attacks because they were sent halfway around the world to wage war and establish a permanent military presence there.

In fact, one of the defining foreign policy elements of Trump's political agenda for more than a decade had been his longstanding view that these U.S. troops never should have been in these sh!t-holes in the first place.

Iran didn’t get nuclear weapons because of Israel’s counter measures. They assassinated nuclear scientists and cleverly sabotaged the machines that separated U235 from natural Uranium. It was not from Iran’s lack of trying.

The comparison to the 2003 Iraq “WMD” situation is a common one, but the current intelligence landscape regarding Iran is fundamentally different because of the role of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Unlike Iraq, where the “evidence” was largely based on contested human intelligence and satellite imagery of mobile labs that didn’t exist, the existence of Iran’s enriched uranium is a documented, measured fact confirmed by UN inspectors for over a decade.

Here is the current status of that material as of March 2026:

So, Where is the uranium?

Following the major U.S. and Israeli air strikes in June 2025 and again in February 2026, the physical location of the stockpile is a matter of intense focus.

The Isfahan Tunnels: The IAEA and U.S. intelligence (via DNI Tulsi Gabbard) assess that a massive portion—roughly 440–460 kg of 60% enriched uranium—is currently stored in deep, hardened tunnel complexes in Isfahan.

Are they accessible? Recent reports suggest that while the tunnel entrances were struck by “bunker-buster” munitions to prevent Iran from moving the material, the storage chambers themselves are so deep that they remain intact. There is ongoing debate about whether Iran can still access this material through “small openings” or if it is effectively “trapped” under collapsed infrastructure.

Smaller amounts of highly enriched uranium (HEU) are believed to be at Natanz (specifically a new, even deeper site nicknamed “Pickaxe Mountain”) and the Fordow facility.

So, it a “Smoking Gun”?

The difference between Iran and 2003 Iraq is that the IAEA has consistently measured the Isotopes (U−235).

Before the 2025 war, Iran was openly enriching to 60% purity. For context, nuclear power needs 3–5%, and medical isotopes need about 20%. 60% has no credible civilian use; it is a “breakout” level that is 99% of the way to the 90% needed for a bomb.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently admitted in negotiations that Iran controls enough 60% material to produce roughly 10 to 11 nuclear bombs if they took the final technical step to 90%.

But here’s the UNKNOWN — While we know the uranium exists (unlike in Iraq), the “Iraq-style” uncertainty lies in Weaponization.

So no, The uranium is not a “phantom.” It is a physical reality that both sides were using as a bargaining chip in Oman. Iran has even offered to down-blend (dilute) this 60% material back to 5% in exchange for lifting all sanctions—a move that would be physically impossible if the material didn’t exist.

Trump has been consistent for decades. Iran cannot get nuclear weapons. He said that long before he went into politics.

GUY MILLER 3 18 26 ISLAM HERE?? SURELY YOU JEST??

New York Post reports that Democratic People’s Republic of California legislators are pushing to make Mohammedan “holy days” state holidays.  "AB 2017 would designate Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as state holidays,” a move to make California’s unassimilated Mohammedan population feel more at home like the shithole countries they fled. ***********

Birth defects and impaired cognitive and physical development among offspring of Mohammedan “close relative” [ie, half sibling or first cousin] marriages are causing a tremendous burden on the United Kingdom National Health Service.  In response, they are now advertising for counselors to advise prospective spouses on the dangerous effects of such traditional marriages. Especially in Pakistani communities, IQ is so low that the education system is incapable of teaching children unable to learn.  Inbreeding, customary in Mohammedan tribal societies, causes progressive deterioration of intellect with each generation.  That’s how they did it in the Stone Age, and still do. ************

PJ Media reports that Zohran Mamdani is outraged that repeated terrorist attacks by jihadist Mohammedans leads to people discussing the news.  It is “Islamophobia,” he insists, to refer to Islamic terrorists as Islamic terrorists.  Just because they try to blow up people doesn’t make them criminals, in the famous words of Jasmine Crockett.

Semper fi.

If there are “facts” that justify our war against Iran, they should have been presented to Congress for its approval of military action BEFORE the attacks began.

That’s what the Constitution requires, no matter how many here and in the Administration try to spin it.

Upholding the Constitution is specifically mentioned in the Presidential Oath of Office.

Ya know, it is not my job to play intel analyst or president, so I couldn’t care less what the evidence might be. I trust Trump and back this bombing of the outlaw nation of Iran.

I am also old enough to remember the daily hostage days count on TV. My family was also directly involved with the hostage release.

I have seen the violence Iran has performed against everyone in the region. Time for the muslims in IRan to go and the Christian nation of Iran to re-emerge.

I'd read that as undisputed, but didn't know the locational and source info you provided, thank you.

As far as I'm concerned, that much HEU in the hands of psychotic Iranians committed to destroying Western Civilization is sufficient to justify military action, with or without an extant intercontinental delivery system.

What they have is enough to make a "dirty bomb" right now. Somebody is going to need to extract and remove that material from Iran. That will take heavy equipment and safe transit. That will take a functional government.
