Last night, San Francisco’s mayor, Daniel Lurie, was attacked by two men while being driven through the Tenderloin district. According to a report from an ABC News outlet, the confrontation arose after a group of people blocked the SUV that Lurie was being driven in; at one point Lurie himself exited the vehicle to engage the individuals on the street, but quickly scuttled back behind the safety of his security detail when the confrontation turned physical. Classic.
Clearly the men were bums, based on the handcuffed man’s appearance:

So the mayor of San Fran gets attacked by belligerent bums…and the mayor of Oakland just had her car stolen by a bum that had reportedly been camped out in City Hall. Oh, and then in 2024, the Getty Residence was broken into while Karen Bass and her family were upstairs sleeping. And before that, in 2022, Bass’s private residence was burglarized.
But California Democrats promise crime is going down. As someone hilariously quipped online: “Yeah, don’t believe your lyin’ black eyes that got socked by crazed homeless lunatics.”
Now fortunately for Lurie, he has the privilege of private security and armed officers escorting him around—the common man would have been absolutely screwed. In fact, the common man would have likely found himself unarmed due to the aggressive anti-2A landscape in California, or if he were armed, he’d probably have been penalized, like Vince Ricci was in 2023;

What can we say? What does it say about a city, when the mayor is in danger, even when as mayor he’s traveling with security?

If the mayor gets attacked, what chance do unarmed regular citizens have? Let’s hope he cracks down, but so far no one seems to have the will to do so.
I remember reading a year or so ago that cars get broken into so frequently in San Francisco that people leave their car doors unlocked so that they don’t have to pay to have the doors repaired.
New city councilmen.
New county commissioners.
New police chiefs and sheriffs.
New judges.
New Attorney General.
New Lt. Governor and Governor...

I wish more “bums” would attack Democrat politicians, for they are where they are to some degree because of the Democrat Politicians. Thus, it would serve them right to take it out on them.
