Ron DeSantis shrugs off Andy Beshear’s late-night jab: ‘I wear it as a badge of honor.’

During an interview on “The Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart asked Beshear which governor he believed was the worst.

“Who’s the one where, like, you guys are at the governor’s conference and the elevator opens, and he’s about to walk in, and you just go – or she – and you just go, oh ****,” Stewart asked.

After a brief pause, Beshear responded: “Ron DeSantis.”

On Wednesday, DeSantis testified during a hearing in the Kentucky House to drum up support for resolution to call on Congress to submit a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution for states to ratify.

When asked about Beshear’s apparent jab, DeSantis seemed unfazed.

“I don’t really know much about the governor here,” the Florida Republican said. “All I can say is, a guy that sends state police to try to block people from worshipping on Easter Sunday, a guy that’s obsessed with gender mutilation of minors, if that’s the person criticizing me, I wear that as a badge of honor.”

Earlier on Tuesday we covered how Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) expressed a desire for a family member of Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), the running mate for former and potentially future President Donald Trump, to get raped and become pregnant as a result. He made such comments during “Morning Joe,” and was then asked again on Tuesday by Andrea Mitchell, during which he continued to attack Vance.

“Make him go through this,” Beshear had insisted to “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski as he ranted against pro-life laws at the state level. The governor made such a declaration about Vance and his family even as he acknowledged how rape involves someone “being violated” and “harmed.”

Meanwhile, as Mitchell warned later in the day that she was going to bring up Beshear’s comments from “Morning Joe,” so as to “prepare [him] for this,” the governor actually laughed. The program then played Beshear’s own remarks back to him, with Mitchell reading Vance’s post—shared above—to the governor. As she did so, Beshear laughed off the matter once more.

Mitchell and Beshear both laughed over the matter further as Mitchell asked the governor to explain himself. “So, how do you respond to that? I mean, is that what you were talking about?”

Beshear’s response involved laughing off that it was “of course not” what he was talking about, despite how his point of “make him go through this” about Vance leaves little room for doubt what he meant. He also continued to insult Vance more, though, by calling the senator’s response “ridiculous, but also deflection.” Beshear then claimed that “JD Vance knows that he and Donald Trump are so wrong on this issue, and now he’s trying to make himself the victim.”

Governor Andy Beshear (D-KY) said Wednesday on CNN’s “News Central” that Republicans anti-trans political ads were an example of “anger politics.”

Resurfaced photo of Dem governor posing with anti-Christian LGBTQ group takes center stage in year’s top race
A recently resurfaced photo of Democrat Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear posing with a local chapter of the anti-Christian LGBTQ activist group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence has led to some sharp language between his campaign and that of his Republican challenger, state Attorney General Daniel Cameron.

“This is just another example of how out of touch Andy Beshear is with our values. He’s the governor of Kentucky, not California,” Cameron told Fox News Digital.

“The fact that he would host an anti-Christian hate group that makes fun of people of faith is disqualifying for public office. And this November, he’s going to have plenty of free time to hang out with those people, but it won’t be in the state capitol,” Cameron said.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, who identify as a group of “queer and trans nuns,” are known for mocking Christian beliefs, including holding an annual “Foxy Mary” and “Hunky Jesus” contest, pole dancing on crosses and using the saying, “Go forth and sin some more!”

Balanced Budget Amendment is the only way to save the Republic, IMHO.

Anybody who is against it, and I haven’t heard a rational reason not to have it, seems to want the opposite that the nation requires to maintain a Constitutional Republic.

Ron DeSantis is right, and well….. the other guy wants the nation to fail.

Mitch McConnell, Thomas Massie, Rand Paul, and Andy Beshear.

What the HELL is wrong with the morons in Kentucky?

Inbreeding, perhaps?

And, that's how it's correctly done.

Nice work Governor DeSantis!

Circa 2024

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear was a rare beast in the 2024 political landscape: a Democratic governor of a solidly red state. The political acumen that reflects, some Democratic strategists believe, would make him valuable on the national campaign trail even if he can’t turn Kentucky blue.

In his state, the governor’s biggest political battles have hinged on hot-button topics like transgender health care and abortion rights; on both issues, the governor who says his “values are grounded in my faith” has found allies among Kentucky’s Jews.

Last year, Beshear vetoed a law banning certain medical procedures for transgender youth, which the Republican-controlled state legislature introduced weeks after the trans son of the chamber’s only Jewish lawmaker died by suicide; state Republicans then overrode his veto.

In response, a Democratic state lawmaker gave a viral floor speech, inspired by her friendship with an Orthodox Jewish constituent, in which she linked anti-trans legislation to antisemitism.

Beshear also opposes his state’s near-total abortion ban, which had been challenged in court by three Jewish women alleging that the law infringed upon their religious freedom rights. A judge threw out the lawsuit in June, saying they lacked standing.

Beshear has voiced support for Israel since the Oct. 7 attacks. He said that he and his wife’s “prayers go out to the people of Israel” immediately after the attacks. In December he established a task force to combat antisemitism that included several Jewish politicians and community leaders. He later pushed the task force to address hostility toward Jews on college campuses in the state.

Beshear just outed himself as a DNC hack.
Anyone with even a walnut sized brain would identify Walz, Gov of MN as the worst in the entire history of the USA.
