Resurfaced tweets from Cea Weaver, who was appointed by Zohran Mamdani as director for the newly revitalized Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants, shows the tenant organizer and housing advocate comparing homeownership to “a weapon of white supremacy.”
In a post published in August 2019 on the social media platform then known as Twitter, Weaver wrote: “Private property including and kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy masquerading as ‘wealth building’ public policy.”
The post was shared by the MAGA X account “Libs of TikTok,” known for its scalding commentary on left-wing politicians and liberal users on the platform. “Mamdani’s newly appointed tenant advocate director thinks home ownership and private property is white supremacy,” the account wrote.
Weaver’s X profile is currently deactivated. Newsweek contacted Mamdani’s press office for comment by email on Monday morning.

Amazingly, the news article was mostly objective and neutral, noy a lot of added spin and fluff for or against.
However, the bigger point of the article, which it makes convincingly, is that Mamdani is a far, way out in left field, socialist/communist.
It does so not by putting words in his mouth, it's his own worlds, and those of the people he's choosing to surround himself with and promote into positions running New York.
Scary stuff.

Her knock against “wealth building” is insightful about the effects of the nuclear family in their own individual house.
They would stay for a long period, giving stability to the community. Not transitory and uncaring about the area near them.
They would need a refrigerator, range and stove, garbage disposal, dishwasher, freezer, washer and dryer, furnace, water heater, carpeting, furniture for all rooms, TV and stereo, bikes and toys for children and replacements for these through the years.
All that adds to the local economy (but later to the foreign “global” economies). Used to provide jobs for the people nearby such as buying new car tires helped Akron, Ohio and the employees there bought diary products from Wisconsin and Michigan and so on.
That system worked. Communism fell, the Berlin Wall fell, and China and Cuba like Venezuela are tottering.
