John Fetterman breaks with Democrats, slams party’s Palestinian statehood stance as ‘absolute betrayal’
Fox News ^ | December 14, 2025 | Madison Colombo

Sen. John Fetterman broke with Democrats on Sunday, siding with Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham as he accused members of his party of embracing antisemitic rhetoric after a deadly terror attack during a Hanukkah celebration in Australia over the weekend.

Appearing on "Sunday Morning Futures," Fetterman said he agreed "with virtually everything" Graham warned about earlier in the program. Graham had raised concerns about empowering Hamas by moving toward Palestinian statehood.

"It’s an absolute betrayal for Israel and for the worldwide Jewish community," said Fetterman.

"Whether it's France or Australia or any of these nations, our Western allies now calling for a two-state solution when Hamas refuses to disarm and are actively trying to kill Jews. I can't imagine why anybody would do that at this point," he added.

On Sunday, Graham condemned Western nations that recognized a Palestinian state, accusing them of "rewarding killing Jews" with that decision.

Australia, France, the United Kingdom and Canada formally recognized Palestine as a state earlier this year. In a statement, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney clarified that their support was not meant to legitimize terrorism in the region but to promote future reconstruction following the devastating Israel-Hamas war.

The United States has not formally recognized a Palestinian state.

Fetterman also criticized Democrats for embracing what he called openly hostile, anti-Israel rhetoric, saying it is now "becoming more and more part of my party’s platform."

Fetterman is popular in Pennsylvania, even among Republicans. But you could be right. All the “progressives” need do is shovel enough money to Fetterman’s primary opponent.

Money talks.

I’d take Fetterman as a Republican or Independent running in 2028 if he voted with us about half the time and for Senate confirmations. Let him be the Pennsy version of Collins.

If Fetterman loses a primary, how many Fetterman primary Democrats will shift and vote Republican in November.
Will the Republicans put up a candidate who can win?
When is the 6 year Fetterman seat up for reelection?

He's not so popular now with the Democrats there. The hardcore Dems in PA are saying they'll never vote for him again.

Here in PA, I have already heard hard left commercials on TV criticizing Fetterman. The crazy left is out to get him. They won’t stop. They’re nuts.

This sounds like a rejection of the Trump Gaza Peace Plan which calls for an International Stabilzation Force to be established to disarm Hamas early next year.

More backstabbing from Trump’s Maga friend Lindsey Graham.

A DINO? Rarer than a unicorn. Don’t blink or it’ll blend back into its habitat.
