The ‘rich countries’ are no longer in any state to pay for everyone else

Residents of the ‘global north’ want their own nations put in order first

They have lost their enthusiasm for combatting climate change, and they are no longer willing to subsidise the fight against global warming. The president of the UN’s climate talks, Andre Correa do Lago, has complained that the “rich countries” of the “global north” have lost their enthusiasm for the fight to save the planet. The checkbooks are starting to close. But hold on. In reality what is so terrible about that?

As he opened the latest Cop summit, and welcomed the usual circus of virtue-signalling politicians, Correa do Lago struck a wistful tone. There is, he complained, “a reduction in enthusiasm” among the global north for fighting climate change, with the momentum moving to the “global south”.

“It has been moving for years”, he complained. At this rate, the Cop circus, which typically has lavish budgets to fly in leaders from around the world, will be reduced to a 15 minute Zoom call on a Tuesday morning.

Correa do Lago may be trying to guilt trip his audience into recapturing 2020-style enthusiasm for carbon taxes and green targets. And yet, while he is right to identify a waning enthusiasm or the whole project, he misses the bigger point. It has been long overdue.

To start with, it makes less and less difference what the “global north” does or doesn’t do. The European Union, along with the UK, has led the world in using taxes, levies and targets to dramatically decarbonise their economies.

Those rich countries are just like those ‘rich’ neighbors who are actually going broke from too much credit but they look really good, for now.

Much of that is because for decades the poor from these shi**y countries have invaded the richer countries...and brought their 3rd world mentality to those rich countries. LIBs even promoted this self-loathing empathy. What misguided fools.

The ‘rich countries’ are no longer in any state to pay for everyone else

That's been the plan all along. The UN realized 3rd world countries are lazy and stupid and would never rise to 1st world status.

So, the UN's solution is to lower the 1st world to 3rd world status. They revealed that about 20 years ago. The only way to make all men equal.

The countries are wising up and deciding not to pay for their lazy relatives.

That was Obama’s mantra .. first among EQUALS. Only was that can happen if all countries descend to 3rd world levels.

That’s the only reason why they want the US to be a member. They was the US’ money to subsidize their outrageousness just like the UN. So glad President Trump is not falling for this fraud.

The US is not bankrupt quite yet but national debt is around 100% GDP

If we don’t get our act to ether we will be bankrupt

Trump is giving us one last chance to get our house in order .

Had not Trump been elected we would be in dire shape
