The Federal Aviation Administration on Monday will “effectively prohibit business aviation” at a dozen major U.S. airports, adding to flight restrictions for commercial airlines as air traffic controller shortages snarl travel in the government shutdown, a trade group said.
Here are the airports included in the new restrictions, according to the NBAA:
Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
Denver International Airport (DEN)
General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport (BOS)
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

I can’t believe how much this shutdown was cutting down pollution by grounding these aircraft. Home is where you should be for the holidays. Not out flying around and polluting the air.
Almost all of those have good back ups available for business jets. Some Dallas, Newark, Chicago, Houston, for example, better than others (Atlanta, Denver).
That will pizz off our “betters”!
Democrats are happy to starve the poor, but when their fat cat backers in their private jets start getting inconvenienced, they think about folding.
THIS is why they are voting to open the government- Senators gotta be flying! and private so they don’t have to see the masses.
And you can bet those smaller airfields pushed hard for this restriction on private jets at major airports. Ka-ching!
AVIATION PING!................

Well, it’s certainly cut down on CHEMTRAILS, as many have noticed.
Have been enjoying the clear, blue skies ... while it’s lasted.
I would expect few private jets use those airports anyway. Most have ‘executive’ airports nearby. Denver, for instance, has Centennial which already handles many private jets already.
In the paraphrased words of Eddie Chiles about oil wells during the Arab oil embargo “If you don’t have a jet airplane, get one - you’ll love dealing with freedom of movement.” I am mad too, Eddie.

LOL! It looks like they are already starting to do so . . .
YIKES! That oughta limit my mobility a bit.

Why the shutdown is really ending.
The ruling class got its ox gored.
I just suggested grounding of private jets yesterday. It makes sense at busy airports with minimal ATC coverage. Of course, it’s moot now with the shutdown ending.
Well, now we know what it takes to end a gov’t shut down ... have the FAA prohibit (most) private jets!
Airports desperately need to be privatized to prevent government from ruining everything like this.
I didn’t think some of those major airports even allowed private aircraft at all.
LOL. How right you are.
