NEW YORK (WABC) -- In the race for New York City mayor, early voting is in full swing with a huge turnout over the weekend.

More than 160,000 New Yorkers have already cast their ballots and the candidates are not done campaigning as they look to deliver their closing arguments with just over a week to go until Election Day…

[Let’s cut to the chase]

… Cuomo said the record early voting numbers are skewing his way.

Voters ages 55 and older made up more than half of the turnout, which is a dramatic shift from the primary when voters 25 to 34 dominated.

"In the primary the turnout was totally different than they thought," Cuomo said. "Much younger and the younger vote was a much higher percentage."

Meanwhile, former Gov. David Paterson hinted he is set to endorse Cuomo, saying socialists have repeatedly mistreated the Black community...

People may be scared enough to vote for Cuomo. We’ll find out on 11/4.

Who ever thought we’d be saying to ourselves “I sure hope Cuomo wins.”

There’s that to be sure, but they’re very emotional. Right after the primary I heard someone say that Mandami’s vote total in the primary is his high end because his supporters were so excited to vote for him.
Makes sense

Sliwa must get out. Cuomo can win this thing, but not in a three man race. And like so many other here saying this is like chewing on a light bulb for me. We need to stop the popping up of out and out communists gaining important office this. Sure, give NY what they deserve may be emotionally satisfying to some, but our country is in the line and we need to beat this bastard

Doesn’t Patterson know that both he and Cuomo are also socialists?

I wonder if Trump made an offer. Sliwa should be an Ambassador to Iceland.

The problem is ranked voting in the primary. It amounts to a rigged election.

I hate to see NYC go deeper into the crapper but I agree with DeSantis that Mandami’s election will help the Republican Party and hurt even more the Democrat Party, if that’s possible.

Madami took 43% of the first place votes in the primary to 36% for Cuomo. He would have won the primary.

What I just noticed is that the dem primary vote total was 1,071,730 with Dem enrollment of 3,081,389. That is actually a large turnout for a primary at 33%.

More significantly is that the 2021 vote total was 1,149,172. That is for both candidates, Adams and Silwa.

As best I can tell, NYC is not putting out daily counts, so we don’t know the real early voting.

Seriously. Anything. I don’t know if the most recent poll is accurate, but it has Cuomo cutting his deficit to 10 and Sliwa is pulling 11%. Increased turn out + Sliwa would pull out could very well put Cuomo over the top. Cumo’s obviously got some momentum and he would not need all of Sliwa’s to win

My guess is Mamdani—45%, Cuomo—43% and of course Sliwa—11%.
