French president Emmanuel Macron has been seen laughing as the leaders of Albania and Azerbaijan mock US president Donald Trump for claiming to have ended wars involving their countries.
At the European Political Community meeting in Copenhagen, Macron was seen chatting with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was seen storming over in mock fury, and telling Macron: 'You should make an apology … to us because you didn't congratulate us on the peace deal that President Trump made between Albania and Azerbaijan'.
The comment referenced Trump's repeated confusion of Armenia and Albania when discussing the long-held animosity between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In an interview with Fox News last month, Trump falsely claimed: 'I solved wars that was unsolvable. Azerbaijan and Albania, it was going on for many, many years, I had the prime ministers and presidents in my office'.
And during a press conference with UK PM Keir Starmer, he butchered the name of South Caucasus country and confused the other one entirely, saying: 'We settled Aber-baijan and Albania'.
Rama's joke cracked both Aliyev and Macron up. The French leader jokingly said: 'I am sorry for that!'.
The Albanian leader added: '[Trump] worked very hard!'
Trump did broker a deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia in August, with both Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan, Armenia's PM, agreeing to end decades of fighting and expand ties with Washington.

Trump has to give up trying to get other world leaders to love him. He ends a decades long war and makes a slip of the tongue so they all laugh at him like hes dumber than Biden and made it up as if he didn’t actually accomplish anything. Just do the right things, Trump, and let them act like they matter.
Watch how quickly Macron flips into suck-up mode whenever Trump leans on him. Macron is a child playing the part of a world leader. Those like Trump, with real power, jerk him around like a dog on a leash. The mocking of Trump and false bravado is how he deals with his inferiority.
They won’t be laughing nearly as much when the US drops out of NATO.
