This video by Dr. Victor Davis Hanson is, in my opinion, prescient. At the 6:42 mark (Click HERE to go directly to this passage) He states:
“...We’re going to see the counterrevolution I think, succeed, with one caveat: we are going to see, in the next year, a frenzy, a frantic, almost out-of-mind reaction from the Left because they know that if this counterrevolution succeeds, it’ll be very difficult for them to push down and unpopular agenda down the throat of the American people. So brace yourself. We’re looking at the resistance coming up to the counterrevolution and it’s going to be fierce and unhinged..."

Granted, this is not a surprise to anyone who has followed the trajectory of the Left for decades now (as many of us have). But it has to be clear to anyone that they are losing their collective grips on the levers of power, and their capture of the Media that began at the end of WWII is coming to an end.
It is not coming to an end because the Media isn't going to continue to back them.
It is coming to an end because people are waking up to a degree, and understand they have been sold a bill of goods by the media, and I think they days of not trusting your lying eyes is coming to an end.
And, it is timely because I believe that with the ascension, anointment, and electoral loss of Kamala Harris, the complete and rapid descent into senility by Joe Biden, and the closing of the border in two weeks to end the "border crisis" (which was in no way a crisis as much as it was an orchestrated invasion by our own government) has left people who formerly would not have given the Media's bias a second thought, reason to contemplate.
I do not think they are oblivious to this on the Left, and they are taking the next steps of political assassination.
Sadly, and ironically, Charlie Kirk knew that they were on this trajectory all too well. Charlie Kirk posted this on X on 4/7/2025 which shows plainly he knew the risk he was running. I was listening to the Bannon "War Room" podcast, and he was talking to one of Charlie Kirk's good friends Jack Vesovic, who had the following to say:
"No. By the way it is a battlefield, I mean, Charlie Kirk was a warrior. Charlie Kirk wasn't going to back down.
After the Butler assassination attempt last summer, you warned him, that, hey, Charlie, you're the most exposed person in anybody in this movement. Because Charlier would, it looked like a couple of times a week, go into these crowds and look at that crowd today at Utah Valley University. It had to be a couple of thousand people, four or five thousand people.
No, no, no, no, no ,no. He knew, he always knew, and he would say "I need to do it anyway because it has to be done.
And if I don't do it...who else will?"
Vesovic went on to say:
"Yes. There's gonna be prayers and pouring and half-staff in nurturing the widow in a ceremony. But we have to have steely resolve, right? Charlier Kirk's a casualty of war.
I believe that to be true. RIP Charlie. Thank you for what you did in getting Trump over the finish line in the 2024 election. America owes you.
"And if I don't do it...who else will?"
That sentiment is a key component of conservatism, and I can see him saying that.

It has tried in the past, and failed (but by God’s grace), to take down our President. Today, it succeeded in ending the life of a brother in Christ and a true American patriot warrior of the highest caliber, in my estimation.
Evil will be put to death. It is the Law that good shall overcome evil. But it will fight to its bitter end. As our counterrevolution gains and takes hold, evil will seek violence as its last desperate option. It will commit acts of atrocity the likes of which this nation, and perhaps the world, has not yet seen. But we must face it with courage and resolve. We must be equally willing to meet their violent force with opposing and overwhelmingly greater force—not violence for violence’s sake, but for the sake of peace and security of the good men and women of this nation.
Wake up, ye sleeping patriots. Wake up, and answer the call to arms. Your nation calls for you in its great hour of need! Let us arise and destroy, finally, this great evil in our country. May God, our benevolent and righteous Father, hand them over to us in victory to be destroyed completely and absolutely, and establish His righteous Law in our great land once more.

The people who murdered Charlie Kirk are trying to start a civil war.
They’re doing this because they know a civil war will destroy our country.
Solution: we don’t take up arms against the left. We give them exactly what they don’t want. We give them what Charlie Kirk gave them.

It is too easy to succumb to pessimism, and too many people on and off this forum have. But we are fighting back.
I too subscribe to an optimistic view on these things, but...they will not go down without a fight.

We all saw saw the beginning of it during the SOTU when democrats ignored a cancer stricken child and held up unhinged signs.
