Hegseth falsely cited weapon shortages in halting shipments to Ukraine, Democrats say
The Guardian ^ | 7-6-2025 | Oliver Milman

Pete Hegseth, the US defense secretary, unilaterally halted an agreed shipment of military aid to Ukraine due to baseless concerns that US stockpiles of weapons have run too low, it has been reported.

A batch of air defense missiles and other precision munitions were due to be sent to Ukraine to aid it in its ongoing war with Russia, which launched a full-scale invasion of its neighbor in 2022. The aid was promised by the US during Joe Biden’s administration last year.

But the Pentagon halted the shipment, with NBC reporting that a decision to do so was made solely by Hegseth, Donald Trump’s top defense official and a former Fox News weekend host who has previously come under pressure for sharing plans of a military strike in two group chats on the messaging app Signal, one of which accidentally included a journalist. a boat Hegseth announces new name of US navy ship that honored gay rights icon Harvey Milk Read more

Hegseth has now halted US military supplies to Ukraine on three occasions, NBC said, with the latest intervention purportedly coming due to concerns that the US’s own weapons stockpile is running too low.

When the president was asked about the pause in shipments to Ukraine by a reporter on Thursday, he claimed that it was necessary because “Biden emptied out our whole country, giving them weapons, and we have to make sure we have enough for ourselves”.

A White House spokesperson said last week that the decision “was made to put America’s interests first following a [defense department] review of our nation’s military support and assistance to other countries across the globe. The strength of the United States armed forces remains unquestioned – just ask Iran.”

“This capability review,” Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell told reporters on Wednesday,...

Who are you going to believe, Hegseth or a democrat and the leftist media?

Implying that Hegseth was lying, the article quotes Pentagon Spokesman, Sean Parnell, as saying, “Let it be known that our military has everything that it needs to conduct any mission, anywhere, anytime, all around the world.”

The article cleverly omits this comment made by Parnell: “We can't give weapons to everybody all around the world. We have to look out for America and defending our homeland, our troops around the world.” https://www.defenseone.com/policy/2025/07/pentagon-confirms-its-holding-weapons-promised-ukraine/406500/

“Hegseth falsely cited weapon shortages in halting shipments to Ukraine, Democrats say”

The Leftists have an ABJECT FEAR of Hegseth - well beyond any real power he has. Perhaps it’s not due to his day job, but rather what they think he might be up to in 2028 or 2032?

“Translation: “We need to give weapons to Ukraine until we do have a shortage.””

Not quite - more like until we RUN OUT.

The term ‘shortage’ is subjective, so anyone can claim anything an run with it. Think about the SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) - it can hold close to 1 Billion barrels. What is a shortage regarding the SPR? is it the present 375M barrels, or is it 100M. In my opinion we should store closer to several billion barrels - enough for a year of imports, at a minimum.

So the Dems are running hard on this because they can get away with claiming whatever they want - and Hegseth scares the Shiite out of them...so more attacks.

Finally, to find out if Hegseth acted out of line, let’s see if he still has in job in 2 weeks, as Trump would never tolerate that behavior on something as important as Ukraine.

Yes, we need to refill the strategic petroleum reserve as soon as possible - with American oil if at all possible

The Guardian (the most left-wing news organization in the UK) repeats the old “full scale invasion” ruse to support its warmongering.

Democrats say a lot of stuff that they themselves know is not true. Their Pea Brained minions will hear whatever current myth they want to believe about Republicans, and use that presumption of guilt as a flimsy excuse to act with blatant disrespect or unrestrained violence.

The majority Dem voters do not ‘think’, per se. They just react or emote. There are a few thoughtful and sincere Dems left, but they are vastly outnumbered/ out shouted by those content to leave the thinking to ‘their betters’. Ask any Dem since 2015, that year Donald Trump first stepped into the political ring.

The same leftist that said biden was cognatively completely all there and in control.....

So, how soon before people here start saying that the U.S. has a commitment to supply ukraine with everything ‘biden’ committed to send zelensky, otherwise it will make the U.S. look bad and weak and can’t be trusted with promises....

because they apparently don’t care if emptying arms inventories actually does make the U.S. weak and less able to defend itself and others.

More like, “We need to give weapons to Ukraine until it hurts!”.

The goal of Democrats/Globalists is to bring America to her knees by depleting our weapons stockpile.

All US shipments of weapons to Ukraine for free needs to STOP at once!
Total waste of US tax payer dollars.
Let the loud mouth Europeans supply arms to Ukraine at their own expense!
The Guardian loves nothing better than Europeans stealing US tax payer dollars through free US weapons/ammunition supplies.
Enough of that nonsense already!
