Sen. Gillibrand criticizes NYC mayor candidate Zohran Mamdani for his controversial intifada remarks, urging him to reject them

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand from New York has strongly challenged Mayor Zoran Mamdani’s controversial remarks regarding the Intifada, asserting that if democratic socialists are serious about leading New York City, they must openly denounce it.

Gillibrand, known for her pro-Israel stance, criticized Mamdani for not rejecting the “globalization of Intifadas,” particularly as he requested a sit-down to further explain his position.

“As the leader of a city as diverse as New York, home to the largest Jewish population in the country, he should take a clear stand,” Gillibrand remarked during a conversation on WNYC.

The senator pointed out that it’s insufficient for the 33-year-old Queens assemblyman to merely question the term Intifada as a general concept of resistance rather than an incitement to violence

What good will “rejecting them” do? Their religion says they can and should lie to infidels! Taquia or something like that

The national polling on Mamdani must be looking bad for the Democrats. That’s why Gillibrand and other Dem politicians are trying to put some distance between themselves and the radical leftist candidate in NYC. Meanwhile, other Dems are embracing the creep.

Schumer wouldn’t even look in pres Trump’s direction when he walked by. He side-eyed him though. Was funny to watch Mr half-glasses trying to avoid eye contact lol.

When the core tenants of Islam demand lying to deceive infidels, "urging" reconsideration of words is laughable. What Gillibrand really just did by making that statement was to illustrate that Mamdami and the whole if Islam holds a dominant and victorious authority over her.

What a dunce....

Funny, not a lot of media focus on the significant Dem infighting here. I guess because it might hurt their 99% positive stories about Democrats percentage.

Yeah, saying "Oops. my bad" makes everything okay.
If Gillibrand wants to do something productive I have two suggestions:
1. Vote 'present' on everything.
2. Resign.

Oh, he will, Sen. Gillibrand, he will. You’ll notice it the day after he’s elected. It just won’t be the stand you hope for.

Side note to the DNC: Mamdani is the favorite to be NYC’s next mayor. So start coming up with excuses for him now.

Criticizing Mamdani is Islamophobic.
His remarks are being taken out of context.
Etc.

She should be rejecting him. He made them walking them back now is useless. He said what he meant.

Pffft, NY voters want their free stuff. The demand free stuff. They could not care less about who Mamdani is, as long as he promises free stuff.

Yep. This current NYC situation is example number 10,000 that Tytler was right.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.”
- Alexander Fraser Tytler

The only thing Tytler missed was the time frame.
