NY state assemblyman shares yearbook photo showing Ocasio-Cortez attended suburban high school nearly an hour from the Bronx
A New York state lawmaker called out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., over her upbringing after she referred to herself as a tough "Bronx girl" during an internet spat in which she traded jabs with President Donald Trump.
State Assemblyman Matt Slater, a Republican, called out the progressive firebrand, who represents portions of the Bronx and Queens, and shared an image of her during her freshman year in suburban Yorktown High School, almost an hour north of the Bronx.
"If you’re a BX girl then why are you in my Yorktown yearbook? Give it up already," Slater tweeted.

AOC grew up in Yorktown Heights which is a ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DOLLAR cab ride from the Bronx. She spent as much time in the hood as Elizabeth Warren spent in the battle of little big horn.
No, it’s apparently common knowledge that her family moved from the Bronx to Yorkton, in Westchester County, when she was 5 and that she attended Yorktown High School.
It appears she even lied about living in Yorktown and tried to claim she commuted to Yorktown High from The Bronx.
But other comments of hers as well as those of her mother acknowledge that the family moved there when she was 5. Bottom line? She’s a liar.
That’s up there near Peekskill on the other side of the river from West Point. Nothing close to Bronx in any way. Old money Whiteyville country actually.
Freshman year. Maybe even sophomore. Have you seen your own photo from those years? I look like a juvenile in mine. No wonder my brother made fun of me!
Didn’t know that. I never kept mine. At any rate, no matter where she went to school, she needs to leave the US for a communist country since her allegiance is to communist ideals. She’s probably another democrat in cahoots with the CCP. She seems to be quite wealthy.
And when she started in Yorktown Hts schools she went by Sandi Ocasio. Sounds Italian doesn’t it. I bet she tried to pass herself off as Sicilian or Calabrese when she was in middle school.
What a dummy! I barely turned 17 and had graduated HS with an AP/Regents diploma/21 credits. She didn’t graduate until 19!!!! LOL!
