I got a paid day off work. I’m celebrating by working on my car.

I got it off. My 95% white software company started getting it off a couple years ago. Wound up a busy day. Car stuff. Dentist. Still found the time to watch some blaxploitation movies.

Is Juneteenth Canceled? Just a so-called "holiday" created by the dems and Half Wit Biden in an attempt to get votes. Holidays should be for EVERYONE, not just a minority of the population.

Around here the government workers got it off.... and banks.
Rather have Lincoln Birthday and Washington Birthday off instead

I think it is a stupid federal holiday.
I think it is great as a state holiday for Texas, in the same way “Evacuation Day” is a fine holiday for Massachusetts (when the British jumped onto their ships and left Boston for Nova Scotia in 1776.
As a federal holiday-ridiculous. It reeks to high heaven as racial pandering by Democrats at the Federal level.
Also, “Juneteenth” sounds to my ear to be a completely illiterate rendering of a day.
Hate it.

Originally designed to take the place of Independence Day on July 4th, those days are over. For now. Same as Kwanzaa and Pride month. I haven’t seen half the rainbow flags this year than I did last year!

Nobody out here in BFE seems to be taking off for this made-up holiday-I’m working, all the businesses are open, tourists wandering around just like any other Thursday...

<< In a 2020 YouGov poll, 70% of white people and 49% of black people said they had never celebrated the holiday. >>
I’m guessing that over 90% of the 30% of whiteys who claimed to have celebrated it …haven’t.

I am still boycotting local businesses that had Pride flags last year even though none have gone there this year.

Imagine if a federal district judge were to declare the Emancipation Proclamation to be invalid, and issue a nationwide injunction against it.

N Day
is no longer relevant. The Democrat party has literally gone to hell and N Day can't salvage it.

Agree. It’s a stupid “holiday” and the name makes it even more stupid.
I can’t change that it’s a stupid “holiday”, but I can and did change the name of this “holiday” on all my calendars to “JuneNineteenth”. #JustNoIlliteracy
