Quite a contrast from the pissing match the entire world witnessed yesterday.

People don’t realize that Reagan served 9 years in uniform when there was no reason to and at a time when soldiers were seen as trash, Reagan joined the Army Reserve and became a lieutenant in the Cavalry, starting his correspondence course in 1935 and sworn in in 1937, this probably is what enabled him to work around his bad eyes and go active in WWII where he first went to transportation and then the film arm.

Reagans experiences made him very well versed (broad) and well thought out regards his stance on positions (deep).

He was an excellent communicator and dignified.

Few have it all. He did.

His speech wasn’t as good as when Bill and Hillary were “caught” on camera making a cross with some pebbles.

On June 6, 1984, I vividly remember getting out of bed early to watch the ceremonies in France to commemorate the 40th anniversary of D-Day. Reagan’s speech at Pointe du Hoc was one of the greatest moments of his historic presidency. Unforgettable.

I was in Switzerland, they LOVED Reagan. Hard to believe that was 41 years ago. Dad, my brother and I watched the speech.
