Tech mogul Elon Musk went on a tirade Tuesday against President Trump’s marquee One Big Beautiful Bill Act days after leaving the administration — ripping the legislation as an “abomination” and condemning lawmakers who supported it.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” the Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote on his X platform. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. “Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

Musk had previously dropped hints of his disdain for the megabill, politely telling “CBS Sunday Morning” in an interview that he was “disappointed” to see that the legislation increases the deficit and “undermines the work that the DOGE team.”

Elon Musk is a GOP MEGADONOR

This matters. He’s not going to fund the GOP any more when it passes this stuff

Oh well

Do you see any of your so-called fiscal conservatives supporting ending the use of baseline budgeting...?

The administration has put themselves in a box. It appears the big bill is a mess, just like anything else Congress tries to do on a large scale. If the bill is defeated, it hands the Dems a talking point: Trump can’t do big things.

I can’t believe the pubbies have basically told Musk to take his DOGE and shove it. Without Musk, Trump most likely would be doing time by now. I know how ticked off I am after spending a few hundred dollars on the campaign and now find out that deficit will grow, the forever wars aren’t ending and the DC police state reigns supreme and untouched.

You and randfan spamming the board with pro rand paul threads in order to pull the wool over people's eyes to fool them about rand paul isn't going to do anything except annoy people even more about him.

rand paul is being a petulant child, unless he get's his way with the budget bill, because he's getting media attention opposing Trump

rand doesn't care if his actions cause the lose of the house and senate for the midterms...

his little big man syndrome has him already running for the 2028 presidential election

and he thinks opposing Trump is going to be the way to win it

You CAN’T put the DOGE cuts on a mandatory spending bill. They will go on a separate bill.

Our government is composed of the economic equivalent of alcoholics, drunks and drug addicts.

Rand Paul and a handful of others are the only ones sober.

In a vast room full of drunks and alcoholics, the sober one is the resented party pooper.

I read somewhere that Musk decided to leave DOGE to resume an easier job. Puting a man on Mars.

He is not wrong.

DJT is swallowing a lot of crap to get his tax cuts.

Or, worst case, he supports most of it. Which is sad indeed.

Until the congressional budget act of 1974 goes away whatever goes on right now is pretty much hopeless in my view. CBA 74 is a built-in pork barrel of escalating government cost. It has inflation +3% built into it automatically.
