A Supreme Court more interested in playing politics than faithfully upholding the Constitution is one that will lose Americans’ trust.
If there was any doubt left that a majority of Supreme Court justices are more interested in playing politics than upholding Americans’ constitutional rights, it was all flushed down the drain following the Monday release of the high court’s weekly order list.
A week after refusing to defend the free speech rights of a Massachusetts minor, the nation’s highest court declined to take up two pertinent cases involving the Second Amendment. As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd reported, one involved a challenge to a 2013 Maryland law banning the possession of AR-15s, while the other saw plaintiffs contest a 2022 Rhode Island statute making it a felony “to possess a magazine that held more than 10 rounds of ammunition.”
Plaintiffs in both cases asked SCOTUS for relief after suffering losses in the lower federal courts.
Despite the seemingly egregious infringement of petitioners’ Second Amendment rights, only Associate Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch signaled their intent to take up the cases. (At least four justices must agree to hear a case before it can be considered by the full court.)
On its face, the choice to reject consideration of the cases is appalling. But a further reading of Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s opinion rationalizing the Court’s declination to take up the Maryland case makes the majority’s decisions look even worse.

Sadly, SCOTUS is corrupt, just like the rest of our government.

Black robed tyrants.
When it begins, they will know.
Our “relief” will not come from the courts.
Expecting that is foolish.

“A Supreme Court more interested in playing politics than faithfully upholding the Constitution...”
It’s primarily that SOB Roberts
“...Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s opinion rationalizing the Court’s declination...”
Now there’s a real stand-up cat you’d want next to you in a foxhole.
Frat Boy Kavanaugh is a weak defender of constitutional rights. It only took one more vote to hear these cases. Kavanaugh may well have the weakness of the Irish and be too drunk to do his job.
A majority of the Supreme Court justices lack the intelligence and the moral clarity to serve on the Supreme Court. That’s the problem. And unfortunately they lack the intelligence and the moral clarity to understand that.
Actually, the nomination of Brown-Jackson is one of the few things Biden was aware of. Before the nomination he explicitly stated that he was excluding from consideration probably 95% of qualified people, on the basis of race or sex.

Activist Supreme Court justices know that they have the job security to interpret the Constitution any way that they want to. This is because constitutionally low-information, post-17th Amendment ratification voters keep reelecting their beloved celebrity lawmakers, expecting different results every time, deep state lawmakers evidently protecting likewise deep state justices instead of impeaching them out of office.
In fact, low-information patriot voters could have theoretically replaced the entire Senate twice+ by now since Obama's first midterm elections, but have been asleep at the wheel.
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” —Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)

As far as I know, the "Federalist Society" is a completely separate and independent organization.
As far as I know, the "Federalist Society" endorsed, and may have even recommended, John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.
President Trump publicly criticized the "Federalist Society" within the last week for their politically flawed advice.
SCOTUS will not protect Americans.
Why should we worry. Thats why we have a 2nd amendment.
We can protect ourselves.

Our current judicial system is sick - an illness that probably goes back to accepting unqualified people into law schools.
