Poll Suggests Lindsey Graham Is Vulnerable in Primary in Home State of South Carolina

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) seems to be vulnerable in his home state of South Carolina’s Republican primary, a Lynch for Senate poll commissioned with Pulse Opinion Research found.

The top lines of the survey spell bad news for Graham, as 57 percent of Republican primary voters in his state “would not vote for Lindsey Graham if the election were held today,” according to the press release.

The poll found that likely voters in South Carolina are “dissatisfied with Lindsey Graham and are just as likely to vote for a more conservative, America First candidate.”

She will be sad about this news. Time to talk tough for awhile.

South Carolina tends to disappoint quite a bit. Careful what you wish for.

That IS the way a democracy works. I don’t think he really represented his constituents, more about his own personal whims.

The Senator from Boeing who likes Turkey and hates Russia etc. etc.

I saw him with Marco Rubio in Turkey the other week a picture of the two.

Did they visit a Turkish Bath?

Lindsey may have to date Nancy Mace if he’s intent on re-election who knows in this strange world we live in.

Drove from KS to SC once with a guy who was a medic in the Marines in Vietnam. He was driving and I asked him to stop so I could essentially steal a few leaves of some farmer’s tobacco field. Had to throw it out of the vehicle, dude was near anaphylactic shock because of his allergy to the weed.

I wonder how many millions of dollars Graham, McCain and Biden pocketed from their trips to Ukraine.

I just attended the South Carolina Republican convention, I don’t think there is much of a chance for Graham losing. The establishment is doing everything it can to guarantee Graham gets reelected. They break the rules and smear the opposition, and then say in Jesus’ name. Mark Lynch, the main opponent of Graham, is a good guy, but his chances are slim to none. I’m not voting for Graham even in the general, but will never ever vote dem.

Sadly, South Carolina has OPEN primaries so traditionally DemocRATS cross over to vote for the most ‘RAT friendly Republican. Open primaries need to be eliminated.

RINO Hunt 2026. We need to take out Cornyn, Cassidy, Tillis, Lindsey Graham and Capito in the Republican primaries. The Turtle is stepping down. Taking out these RINOs will have a salutary effect on the remaining RINOs in the Senate.

He is not in trouble in South Carolina.

Repubs have been sick of him for many years. But South Carolina has open primaries, meaning any one can walk in off the street and vote for any candidate. So, around primary time Lindsey will go to Dim leadership in state to remind them how he supported them over past 6 years and how he will support them in the next 6 years “for the good of the state.”

Dims will get out the vote for him in primary and not put up a viable candidate in the general. It has been the same pattern forever in South Carolina.

Never going to change until the open primary system is changed.

Capito will be very hard to take out in the primary. She has everyone convinced she’s a she-Byrd.

Plus she’s holding the seat for the rest of the Moore clan. Her nephew is my new congresscritter. I voted against him in the primary.

Lindsey Graham got elected off of Newt Gingrich and his "Contract With America" movement in the legislature. He has since held onto his senate seat due mostly to Southerners being polite and kind. They too have fatigue at this point. When no longer deserving public support in South Carolina, they shun you much like the Amish. They may not publicly say anything, but that is your first clue. It's perhaps best explained as the Thurmond Courtesy. Strom was the walking dead, but he had manners and kept Beltway Yankees out of his state. He was once asked why he refuses federal highway funds? He said, "we all here in South Carolina tar and chip our roads regularly. If that's not good enough for y'all, ya better slow down or move away. The federal government has too many strings attached to that form of bribery."

Native Southerners just love that kind of character.

Graham has finally shown his Beltway Yankee Warhawk self long and hard enough that it has stuck now.
