China has halted exports of seven critical rare earth elements to the United States, a move that threatens to disrupt supply chains across key American industries, including automotive, semiconductor, and aerospace sectors.
China’s Ministry of Commerce recently added seven rare earth elements—including dysprosium, terbium, and lutetium—to its restricted export list.
These elements are essential for manufacturing high-performance magnets used in electric vehicles, advanced weaponry, and consumer electronics.

This could be good news. All we have to do is scrap the EPA regs that effectively forced manufacturers to use computer control of the fuel mixture and use all those wonderful sensors that set off your check engine light.
Muscle cars return!
(Muscle cars return!)
That’s right 👍 Time to return to going back to carburetors and adjusting the floats with fine tuning the jets and air flow/fuel mixture.
Great! we’re dependent upon China for our weaponry. how stupid can we be? Don’t answer that.
We always have a reliable supplier operating out of Afghanistan - in some alternate universe. One in which Afghanistan was not surrendered to the Taliban and the US bugged out most ignominiously. Just one more reason to charge the entire Biden regime with treason.
When are the “green” environmentalists ever going to understand that the Biden/Obama regime was an experiment undertaken to test our gullibility? Even they were taken in.
IIRC, Clinton created Escalante National Monument in Utah to lock up rare earth minerals for the benefit of the Riyadh’s. Perhaps we can mine what we need from there.

Let’s ask Bill Clinton!
“Muscle cars return!”
*************
I get your point. Cars with simple engines were easy and cheap to maintain. let’s bring back cars that are affordable and fun to drive. You could keep the old GM engines running forever and didn’t have to take out a loan to pay for routine auto maintenance.
“Time to return to going back to carburetors and adjusting the floats with fine tuning the jets and air flow/fuel mixture.”
Do you do that as you drive up and down the mountains?
“China’s Ministry of Commerce recently added seven rare earth elements—including dysprosium, terbium, and lutetium—to its restricted export list.” I don’t have any of that here?
I’ve owned several boats with inboard engines (GM blocks). Only had to rebuild a carburetor once, and that was because a previous owner didn’t keep moisture from accumulating in the tank.
No, because I don’t live in the mountains but I know people who have that had to adjust their carburators due to power loss in high altitudes. Of course this was back in the 70s.
Oh no!
Democrats won’t get their bribes!
You all note that we are talking to Russia more and not Europa/Zoocryane.
We have about isolated China with trade issue.
Now, strike a deal with Russia to get into eastern Siberia since our focus has to be our hemisphere and the Pacific Rim.
Zoocryane made a back stabbing deal with the Brits for minerals for the next 100 years. Three days before Trump was sworn in.
Its easier, and safer, to ship minerals cross the Pacific to the USA from Siberia than ship cross the Black Sea, through the Bosphorus straits, cross the Med and to our east coast.
Drive a wedge between Russia and China.
Pull out of Europa. They aint worth the trouble.
Google NIOCORP
Which is exactly why we should never be dependent on China for anything at all.
It is dumb to act like what Zelensky wants matters at all.
America needs to make a deal with Russia:
America recognizes all of Eastern Ukraine being Russian in return for America getting a 50% ownership stake in the natural resources of Eastern Ukraine, including rare earth.
Huge win for America.
The war ends.
Everybody is happy except for Zelensky cheerleaders.
American politicians sold out America to China.
I just did. Thanks for the suggestion. This is alarming.
