Although Democrats have in the past insisted something needed to be done about unfair trade practices, they now want the unfair trade to continue. Forever. All because of Trump.

More from the article:
“The situation is upsetting to Wyoming producers who want to sell their beef overseas to a lucrative market like Australia, U.S. Sen. John Barrasso told Cowboy State Daily.
Beef, he added, is the state’s No. 1 cash crop.
“Our Wyoming ranchers produce some of the highest quality American beef in the world, yet our beef faces significant barriers in key foreign markets,” he said. “They have felt the direct impact of unfair trade practices.
“Australian has sold $29 billion worth of beef in the U.S. and we haven’t been able to sell one hamburger in Australia. Our cattle producers are saying it’s about time.”
Barrasso had much the same thing to say in the Senate after a fiery dustup between Virginia Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Warner — who was yelling at times — during a Senate Finance Committee hearing over the Trump administration’s April 2 tariffs.”

I wonder what’s in their beef that they don’t want any of it back.

I believe Australian beef is all grass fed...It’s what I’ve always loved the best.

Probably wombats, kangaroos, and dingos.

Surely there must be some way for Americans to prove the cattle were raised and slaughtered in America.

Won’t allow one American hamburger?
Even one with flame broiled flavor done your way?
Or with 2 all beef patties, cheese and special sauce on a sesame seed bun that cause people to say “I’m Lovin’ it”? 🍔

Take an apple with you on the plane from LA on your way thru Sydney airport. Watch the little dogs run thru the Sydney airport looking to confiscate your apple. You are not leaving the airport with your apple.

Need more beef cattle so maybe the prices will go down or stay still.

Why don’t they breed and raise American cattle in Wyoming? That would solve it, wouldn’t it?

Let’s not even mention the lamb market.....

Why? Because America no longer operates kill floors (slaughterhouses). Cattle raised in Texas, Wyoming, Wisconsin, etc....are loaded on trucks, sent to slaughterhouses in Mexico, then loaded back into refrigerated trucks to American meat cutting facilities, and then to the retail stores.
Twenty years of animal rights protesters, lawsuits, regulation, all designed to destroy domestic meat processing, made such operations move to Mexico.

Then they need to get back into business!
To: Flaming Conservative
Every region-major city, used to have its slaughterhouse district. We got meats that were sourced from local operations-Farms. They traveled 50 miles to slaughter and butcher. Now a pack of steaks travels 7,000 miles to get onto your table. The grocery chains don't even cut meat anymore. Just open the cardboard box and put it out for retail sale. You can't get soup bones, suet, organ meats, or custom cut meats because those things don't fit the corporate structure for sourcing, sanitation, labor costs, and sales.
I go to my local Korean market to buy my meats now. They still have hanging sides of beef and pork, and the tripe, suet, lard, organ meats. Buying in large cuts, you can haggle on price, too.

Can Canadian beef be sold in Australia?
To: CFW
Probably because of all the chemicals and hormones we put into our beef.
