Rep. Nick Langworthy, a New York Republican, revealed that one of Governor Kathy Hochul’s top aids was indicted by the FBI on a raft of treason-related charges. Linda Sun, who served as Deputy Chief of Staff within the New York State Executive Chamber, allegedly worked at the behest of the Chinese government and was paid millions of dollars by the CCP.
For context, Democrat Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, has been mired in controversy since she decided to clash with the Trump administration over her punitive congestion regulations and insane open border policy.
Linda Sun, the disgraced former civil servant, is a Chinese-American who worked in the New York State government for decades. She held several prominent roles, including deputy chief of staff to Governor Kathy Hochul and deputy chief diversity officer under former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Such was shown on September 23, 2024, when the head of the New York Republican Party, Nick Langworthy, blasted the corrupt Democrat in a hearing. He said, “Just three weeks ago in my home state of New York, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Kathy Hochul was arrested on federal charges for acting as a secret agent of the Chinese government.”
Concluding his remarks, he gave a dire warning. Langworthy said, “I mean, this should scare the hell out of everyone on both sides of the aisle, that in a state where the budget is 220 plus billion dollars, you know, the financial capital of the world…This is not… a small and unsophisticated government, the fact that this was able to happen in New York, I just find staggering, and to make matters worse, this is not the first time New York State has been compromised by the CCP.”
Providing additional context, United States Attorney Breon Peace gave a statement to the Department of Justice (DOJ). He explained how“As alleged, while appearing to serve the people of New York as Deputy Chief of Staff within the New York State Executive Chamber, the defendant and her husband actually worked to further the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP.”

Building on his point, the attorney described how Sun pocketed millions from her illicit scheme. He said, “The illicit scheme enriched the defendant’s family to the tune of millions of dollars. Our Office will act decisively to prosecute those who serve as undisclosed agents of a foreign government.”
Supporting the previous statement, FBI Acting Assistant Director Curtis delved into the details of her scheme. He described how, “Linda Sun, a former New York State government employee, acted as an undisclosed agent of the Chinese government while her husband, Christopher Hu, facilitated the transfer of millions of dollars in kickbacks for personal gain. Sun wielded her position of influence among executives to covertly promote PRC and CCP agendas, directly threatening our country’s national security. ”
Linda is a Chicom puppet obviously.
Hanging would be good. I mean, it’s treason.
Just a typical day in New York.
The arrest was in August or September of 2024
This appears to be very old news that is actually pro Biden news
Hochul and many others in the fiilhy New York government should be arrested for treason.
Democrat Linda Sun is a Chinese-American box checker:
<><>Sun worked in the NY State govt for decades
<><>no fly-by-night, Sun held several prominent roles,
<><>deputy chief of staff to Gov Kathy Hochul
<><>deputy chief “diversity officer” for then- Gov Andrew Cuomo.
DOJ alleged, while Sun appeared to be a loyal Democrat, a tax paid public servant faithfully serving NY taxpayers within the NY State Executive Chamber, the defendant....... and her husband.......were spies, working to further the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP.

I think if the full truth were ever known, a new prison would have to be built to handle all the people on the take from the Chinese and guilty of treason.

China showered Sun and her husband, Christopher Hu, with $millions in kickbacks; they bought a $4.1M house in NY, a $2.1M ocean-view condo in Hawaii, luxury vehicles including a 2024 Ferrari Roma sports car.
Lame.
Adam Stanton is a lazy hack for taking 7 month old news and dressing it up. How about any updates in the case since then, “Adam”?
Linda and the rest of Albany.

Yes execute these traitors.
Or get rid of the punishment if it will never be used. Take Robert Hansen, sold 6000 docs to the Soviets. Cost US taxpayers BILLIONS and many good people who worked for us were executed in Russia.
He died in prison at age 79. They should have revoked his plea deal after he gave up all the secrets then hung him with piano wire in a public street. IMHO.
"Treason-related charges" isn’t a formal legal category in most systems, but it’s a shorthand for offenses tied to betraying one’s country or government, with treason itself as the core crime. In the U.S., treason is explicitly defined in the Constitution (Article III, Section 3): levying war against the United States or adhering to its enemies by giving them "aid and comfort." It’s a high bar—requires two witnesses to an overt act or a confession in open court—and carries a potential death penalty (18 U.S.C. § 2381). Historically, it’s rare; fewer than 40 federal cases have been prosecuted since 1789, with names like Aaron Burr or Tokyo Rose popping up.A pity Grok used Oath Keepers as an example.Related charges branch out from that root. Sedition (18 U.S.C. § 2384) involves conspiring to overthrow the government or oppose its authority by force—think inciting rebellion, like the Whiskey Rebellion vibes. Espionage (18 U.S.C. § 793-794) covers passing secrets to foreign powers, as in the Rosenberg case. There’s also seditious conspiracy, rebellion, or insurrection (18 U.S.C. § 2383-2385), which hit the news with the Oath Keepers after January 6, 2021—those are about plotting or acting to disrupt U.S. governance. Providing material support to enemies (18 U.S.C. § 2339A-B) rounds it out, like funding a designated terrorist group.
If treason’s the "core crime," why not just prosecute that instead of messing with "treason-related" charges? The answer’s practical, not theoretical—treason’s a beast to prove, and prosecutors often sidestep it for easier wins with lesser-but-related offenses.
That’s why prosecutors pivot to "related" charges like espionage, sedition, or seditious conspiracy. Espionage (18 U.S.C. § 793-794) just needs evidence of intent to harm the U.S. or help a foreign power—think Julius Rosenberg, electrocuted in ’53 without a treason label. Seditious conspiracy (18 U.S.C. § 2384) only requires proving a plot to use force against the government, not the act itself—Oath Keepers got 18 years max for January 6, no treason needed. These dodge the two-witness rule and still pack a punch: espionage can mean life in prison, seditious conspiracy up to 20 years. Material support to terrorists (18 U.S.C. § 2339B)? Fifteen years to life. No death penalty unless it’s espionage tied to fatalities, but still brutal.
Here’s a story from a couple of months ago...
As you can imagine, the NYS enemedia isn’t exactly bruiting this news about...
If they are Chinese, might have been born here but still have relatives in China, if they are nationals here on a visa, student or otherwise, if they have ANY ties to China, then they are OBLIGATORY spies.
The CCP maintains a chokehold on every one of their citizens that they ALLOW to leave the country, and every one of them KNOWS that leash can be pulled at any time.
For the sake of our national security, every visa should be pulled and get them OUT of our military, our universities, our corporations, our government and our research orgs. IF any remain here, then they need to be watched like hawks, 24/7. No exceptions.

Good point. There is nothing new in this article even though it is dated today. Here is the case status (not included in the article):
* She’s still facing federal charges related to her alleged role as an unregistered agent for the Chinese government.
* On February 11, 2025, a superseding indictment out of Brooklyn federal court added bribery and money laundering to the original counts of acting as an unregistered agent for the Chinese government, visa fraud, and related offenses.
* She and her husband, Chris Hu, pleaded not guilty on February 11, 2025.
* She’s on a $500,000 bail, under house arrest with electronic monitoring, while Hu’s on $250,000.
* Pre-trial discovery’s ongoing. No trial date’s set.
* No major breaks—like a plea deal or dismissal—have hit since February.

NY Post ace journo Miranda Devine @mirandadevine reports on the 2013 Beijing visit by Hunter and the obsequious Joe Biden with President Xi. VP son Hunter was given ten percent-—a billion dollar stake—— in the Chinese state's investment partnership BHR.”
This is excerpted from Devine’s must-read first book on the Biden Crime Family of grifters, “Laptop From Hell”............ an expose of whoring Hunter’s drug-fueled dissolute lifestyle.
Note well: This photograph was taken in 2013. It took court action to get the National Archives to release it. The photo predates the period granted by Hunter's pardon. Means you can go after Hunter hammer and tongs for offenses committed before 2014.
