But it is ok to interfere with Trump’s ability to govern.

I can’t think of a better ruling than this. If what NBC is saying is that they are discontinuing any and all prosecution of the mayor to allow him to do his work concerning his use of “federal immigration initiatives and policies.” This now can set precedence with a bench ruling and it has to apply to Trump since that is what he actually does. It also gives the SCOTUS a ruling to use to walk out of hearing a case against Trump but not for him.

They’d have been smarter to have found him guilty and given him time served and a nichol to pay. This is a big blunder by the left. One I can’t believe they were stupid enough to do. If the right doesn’t jump on this they’re idiots.

Where where he chooses to go now is the question to ask. Adams got done dirty by the Brandon administration and I dont think he’s going to ever forget...or forgive.

If you go to the actual news report, some of the judge’s reasoning is quoted.

From the ruling:

“To the extent that the Government may be seeking to extract policy concessions from the Mayor, dismissal with prejudice rather than continuation of the prosecution best addresses that concern,” Judge Ho wrote in his 78-page order. “It ensures that, going forward, the charges in the Indictment cannot be used as leverage over Mayor Adams or the City of New York.”

I think the doj basically dropped the case. Trump has some kind of plan or relationship with Adams. I think these charges were by the left to punish Adams.

I agree. The DOJ asked this judge to dismiss the case.

It only took 15 posts for someone to post the correct answer. The charges were originally brought against Adams by the Biden admin as punishment for Adams not being on board with their horrible immigration policy. Trump has said he would not prosecute Adams. Case closed.

This is the case that was brought by the Biden admin that appeared to be retaliation for the mayor criticizing Biden’s immigration policy, and the amount of money it was costing NYC. When the Trump admin prosecutor took over he entered a motion to dismiss. The judge delayed ruling on the motion, then appointed a group of outside third party lawyers to devise a reason to deny the motion.

“Hmmm, I wish it would work that way.”

The only thing they have in this incident is that they are saying that Trump cannot use a law in the system to do his work. They have no court case to disallow his use of immigration laws and policies anywhere as proven by the Sen Jack Kennedy interview in congress and no presidence in any court except English common law that does not apply here. Court mandates is the only way they could stop it if the DOJ does their work. The door is open, all the consdrvatives have to do is walk through it and the POTUS can ship any illegal criminal anywhere they need to to get them out of the country.
