The U.S. has covertly destabilized nations. With Canada, it's being done in public
CBC ^ | 03 12 2025 | Evan Dyer

Former senior Canadian intelligence officials say Canada needs to be on the lookout for campaigns aimed at destabilizing the country amid U.S. President Donald Trump's escalating 51st state threats.

And they told CBC News that the most potent weapon wielded by the Trump administration to advance the cause of annexation would likely not be the intelligence agencies directed by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

"I would regard Mr. Musk as a problem," said Ward Elcock, who headed CSIS for a decade including during the 9/11 attacks and also served as national security adviser. "I think that's on a number of fronts."

The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has worked to destabilize many governments and nations in the past, using methods as mundane as corruption and as drastic as assassination, but the former spy chiefs say a campaign aimed at Canada would likely rely less on cloak-and-dagger tactics and more on social media — such as the Elon Musk-owned X platform.

"He intends clearly to try and destabilize our economy," said Elcock. "The reality is that if Canada is really impoverished, people may start to think about it. That's always the possibility — that not all Canadians are going to be willing to endure economic deprivation. And so some may start to think about it as time goes along."

If I'm reading this correctly, according to a former CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) worker, the US may be running a CIA de-stabilization operation on Canadians.

The 9 years of Trudeau have been a de-stabilization operation initiated by the globohomos who propped him up.

If we're doing anything at this point, it's probably an effort to undermine the globohomo minions that are currently in power in Canada and who are suppressing freedom.

If that's going on, I support that effort.

The way I read it — he is saying that allowing free speech is “destabilization”

....

Is it Canada’s suggestion that Twitter muting and Deplatforming Trump as an attack on free speech and thought, was a master plan to eventually have Elon take over Twitter, change it to X, so free speech and thought could be used by Trump to FA with Canada?

Seems to me that the Canadians have done a great job at destabilizing themselves.

I believe Trump sees London-Brussels-Davos as a kind of neo-Marxist, globalist comintern. He's fought their adherents and allies in DC, and now he's taking them on on their own turf.

And without a doubt, Canada is further down the line of WEF-style open borders, social-engineering, and top-down Neo-marxism than almost any western nation.

The 51st state talk is to ignite a nationalist movement in Canada that will eventually result in chasing out the moonbats. I hope it works. Wed be better off with MACAs in charge up there instead of an Epstein Island boy like they have now.

There is no question who. It is the Communist Chinese.

Marx Carney is very high in the WEF, which IS a tool of the CCP. He is on record as saying he would like to replace the USD with the Chinese Yuan. https://www.reuters.com/article/business/world-needs-to-end-risky-reliance-on-us-dollar-boes-carney-idUSKCN1VD28C/

As Bank of England Governor, Marx Carney arranged a £ multi-billion investment to the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-signs-founding-articles-of-agreement-of-the-asian-infrastructure-investment-bank

As a private citizen of Canaduh, UK, and Ireland, he met with Xi Jinping in March 2024. https://tnc.news/2024/03/28/xi-jinping-meets-former-boc-carney/

I believe Marx Carney, who has been True-dolt’s ‘economic advisor’ since 2021, was installed by the WEF/ChiComs, as True-dolt’s ‘minder’. True-dolt’s drug addled actions had to be reined in and Carney was dropped in to do that. As of Friday, he is Crime Minister of Canaduh.

PDJT is WELL aware that there are ‘zips in the wire’ all throughout NATO countries, including the US, and ESPECIALLY in PRC (Politically Repressive Canaduh)! THAT is his battle, to drive out the influence ofvthe CCP, particularly in the Western Hemisphere.

Pray for God to watch over, and protect PDJT, as he tackles the DEPRH of WEF/ChiCom influence in this hemisphere. Many Canadians will be incensed by this comment but, PDJT is fighting, not just for Americans, but for CANADIAN freedom!

A pipsqueak country (Canada) shelters under the protection of a much more powerful country (the United States) and feeds off their economy using high tariffs. Then the powerful country asks nice for fair, equal, reciprocal tariffs and an end to the pipsqueak's criminal abuses like facilitating illegal immigration, trade rule violations, and illegal drug production and smuggling.

The pipsqueak refuses, gets hit with high retaliatory tariffs, and in reply whines that it s being destabilized. Au contraire. It seems to me that the pipsqueak is richly deserving of the beat down now in progress.

Canada's GDP is lower than 3 US states (CA, NY, TX)

If Canada was made the 51st state, it would have the 2nd lowest GDP, ahead of only Mississippi.

While they would be #1 in population (40m to CAs 38m), their population density of 11 people per square mile would be below North Dakota's 11.1/sqmi, and ahead of only South Dakota 7.8, Montana 6.0, and Alaska 1.3

Which high tariffs? And if you bring up dairy tariffs - those were put in as a result of heavy dairy subsidies in the US. They amount to about 42% of all dairy revenue in the USA. Do you support corporate welfare?

“I would regard Mr. Musk as a problem,” said Ward Elcock, who headed CSIS for a decade including during the 9/11 attacks”

Back when the Royal Mounties complained he was covering for Chicom destabilization of Canada:

Mounties blamed CSIS for sanitizing Sidewinder
Jeff Sallot and Andrew Mitrovica
Ottawa and toronto
Published May 6, 2000

Senior RCMP officials fingered Canada’s spy agency as the culprit in the sanitizing of a secret study’s explosive conclusions about Chinese espionage and criminal activities in Canada, newly released documents show.

The documents — an exchange of letters between the two agencies about the conclusions of the controversial Sidewinder probe — reveal that CSIS officials tried to alter information and delete material in ways that RCMP officials said undermined the report’s integrity.

“The service did not and does not support either the findings or the focus of the original draft, produced under the banner of Project Sidewinder,” CSIS acknowledged in a letter to Chief Superintendent Richard Proulx, director of the RCMP’s Criminal Intelligence Directorate. The name of the CSIS official who signed the letter was deleted.

The letters, made public in Ottawa yesterday, add credence to claims by federal intelligence and law-enforcement sources that CSIS watered down a hard-hitting 1997 joint report on criminal operations in Canada by Chinese intelligence services and triad gangs for political reasons.

That report, details of which were revealed in The Globe and Mail last week, concluded that Chinese intelligence services and triad gangs worked closely together on espionage and crime in Canada. But a revised, softer version of the report was produced in 1999, and it remains classified.

Intelligence sources have said the original Sidewinder report was watered down by CSIS to allay concerns that it might damage Canada’s relationship with China at a time when the federal government was trying to improve relations with the world’s largest Communist state.

The 1997 report concluded that Chinese triads and Beijing’s spies, working in tandem on smuggling, nuclear espionage and other operations, pose a serious security threat to Canada.

But CSIS director Ward Elcock has dismissed it as a “conspiracy theory” that cannot be substantiated by facts.
