“I’m paying very close attention. There’s plenty of three- and four-star generals up for promotion or up for new positions, and there will already be a few folks that that we’ve identified who will have different jobs in due time,” President Trump’s Defense Secretary said in an interview while in Belgium for a meeting of NATO.

Additionally, Sec. Hegseth emphasized that he has observed an overall positive response among military personnel to President Trump’s executive orders

Can we give them to Putin for disposal?
IOW “change your attitude or change your career”.
The more of them that are drummed out the service—the better!
I think getting rid of about 50% of all flag officers would do a lot for increasing DOD efficiency and getting rid of empires.
Nothing more detestible than bloated fat old generals.....there should never had been defined pensions in the military because it allows the laziest most incompetent people to stay in...we all know it’s a good old boysclub and they Award promotions to their friends.
A lot of colonels will be moving up in the near future.
Start with the CJCS, USAF Gen. Brown.
Is it true that there are more four star generals and admirals than when, in 1945, there were 15 million men under arms and 2500 warships in the Navy?
Four star generals retire with pensions well over $200,000/year.
There were seven four-star generals in WW2. There are 44 now!
And I think that every O-6 should be considered just like the people who promoted them to that rank until proven innocent. You hardly ever get to O-6 without being a tool.
The Secretary has got a lot of low hanging fruit er fruits to cut.
Lol.
Outrageous isn’t it?
I believe Secretary Hegseth said we had 7 four star generals in WW2. We have over 40 now.
Concur; cannot be trusted; trojan horses; actual warfighters excepted, but not policy makers; Obama promotions stopped and retired
The eagle’s best is way too crowded. Time to get rid of a bunch of billets.

I was in the military over 5 years,
The last person I wanted to ever deal
with was a general.
I spent over twenty years at Boeing CAG
and dealt with the highest ranks in the company.
including the dreaded FAA. I got in trouble once
with both. They were engineers and understood,
problem got fixed.
What was the difference?
Generals today are politicians.
I dealt with civilian people that earned their
places by much more than playing politics.
I wasn’t afraid of them.
Generals scared the Schiff out of me.
because I never trusted them.
I worked with marine Lt.colonels
that had more common sense, than all the
WA chiefs of staff.
