Isn’t the Mexican Army part of the cartels? Or are we not supposed to say that out loud?

A good chunk of them are cartel snakes. That "nation" is corrupt to the core.

I'd have a few AC-130's on patrol to "bring the rain" if they so much as twitch in the wrong way.

Exactly. Question is, if Trump can take down the Cartels, he could literally benefit Mexico pound for pound more than USA. The people of Mexico are hostages of Cartels.

I have been thinking that same thing.

Oh yeah, you better believe it. Two nights ago the U.S. intell flights began over Mexico. The targets have chosen and targeted. Push button fried cartel installation! I would say shock and awe every damned target they’ve seen the first night. No screwing around with this. No tender mercies for these cut throat gangsters.

If we are correct and Mexico is liberated from drugs, fraud and violence, that might make Trump quite popular in all Latin America and with Latino’s at home? Hmmm? The DNC would effectively be done for, and would need to rebrand.

And just like Jan 1990, the world would marvel at the systems and weapons that take down the cartels in a matter of hours....

These are Mexican National Guard troops.

A literal translation, but not equivalent to our National Guard. The National Guard (Spanish: Guardia Nacional) is the national gendarmerie of Mexico, created in 2019 by absorbing units and officers from the Federal Police, Military Police, and Naval Police.

I’ll tell you what I’d do. I get me a battalion of experienced Ukrainian drone operators. I’d give them any equipment they wanted and I’d sit back and watch. ANYTHING that moves in those cartel designated areas is immediately obliterated. Just ask the Russians what these guys are capable of.

Being Marines who no longer have any tanks, they will have to resort to 310 mile range HIMARS’ ATACMS with cluster munitions. Very sad.

Opps! I thought they were going to show the 1500 US Marines, instead of the lightly armed Mexicans. Cartel cannon fodder.

Where are the Canadians?

They are still getting fitted for their sharp red uniforms with cowboy-stye hats.

Not really. We could do a lot of damage, but three huge problems will make it less than a cakewalk.
One, if we start a war in Mexico with Desert Storm airstrikes, (It was 91) we had better have the border closed. I don’t mean Border Patrol, I mean militarily closed with hundreds of thousands of men. When we did those strikes in 1991, we had a powerful conventional forced of around 600,000 poised at the border. Saddam’s Army did not fall until the ground force went in.
Half of Mexico will flee north.

Second, the cartels have between 170-180k soldiers. This is roughly equivalent to the average size of the Viet Cong in any given year. And they are hard, well disciplined and utterly ruthless. They exist on both sides of the border. They have entire intelligence units that are young, savvy and very techie. They are as good at their job as any of Elon’s DOGE boys. At this moment our forces are soft and doughy looking, lesbians and females on self discovery adventures fill the ranks. They need to be brought up to speed.

Three, we better be prepared for a wave of targeted bombings, random terror bombings, mass shootings, kidnapped and beheaded base commanders, and military dependent families in America, Judges, mayors, etc.

This has the makings of a very brutal war. I’m not saying it doesn’t need to be done, but it would not be a mere few hours to take down the cartels.

A few seal teams, and a few airstrikes are nowhere close to the effort it would take.

Also, any attack on the cartels that does not include FBI and accountants walking into Bank or America, Wells Fargo, HSBC and many others one Monday morning and seizing things is doomed to fail.

“I’ll tell you what I’d do. I get me a battalion of experienced Ukrainian drone operators.”

They are kinda busy at the moment, almost all the drones come from China, and if you get the cartels attacked by bringing in a bunch of Ukrainians to America... you’ve only substituted one problem for another.
The last thing we need is nazis on US soil.
