When Donald Trump unveiled a $500bn plan to spearhead a cancer vaccine, many greeted it as another of his grandiose proposals.
But not Anna Bochenski.
The 53-year-old New Yorker is one of the few people in the world who knows how life-changing the shots can be.
The administrative worker was told she had just months to live in January 2021 after her aggressive breast cancer returned and stopped responding to treatment.
After a six-year battle with the disease, which included numerous surgeries and 32 brutal rounds of radiation, the cancer had spread to her ribs and spine, where it had become virtually incurable, known as 'metastatic'.
As a last resort, she was enrolled in a clinical trial for an experimental cancer vaccine developed at the famous Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan.
The vaccine works by melting away the primary tumor and teaches the body to hunt and kill the cells that have spread elsewhere. Within weeks, the tumors in her back and a tennis ball-sized tumor under her armpit disappeared, while a third in her chest shrunk.
Speaking to DailyMail.com this month, almost exactly four years after the vaccine, she said: 'It saved my life. At that time, there was nothing I could do. There was nothing that could treat my cancer.'
Hundreds of experimental cancer vaccines are in production around the world, but President Trump's newly announced artificial intelligence project could be the catalyst that finally brings these shots to the public.

were her children also forced to get the vaccine for extra protection?
Joe told me he was going to cure cancer.
Heads will explode among our resident anti-mRNA kooks as they denounce this latest challenge to their conspiracy nuttism.
These individualized anti-cancer vaccines are created using mRNA to manufacture the complex proteins involved.
This is what mRNA research had been working towards for 30 years, the Covid vaccines were a sideline when Trump wanted a vaccine created within a year.
“In mRNA cancer vaccines, scientists take a sample from a cancer patient’s tumor and analyze its genetic code — every tumor is genetically different, which means no two cancer vaccines are the same.
“They then use part of this, called RNA, to develop a bespoke vaccine for the patient in a lab. When injected, the shot will deliver the instructions for the body’s cells to produce a harmless part of the tumor, provoking a response from the immune system.
This process trains the immune system to spot this element of the cancer in the future providing protection against the disease.”
Good for her
I thought he said he did cure cancer and beat medicare to boot!
Just remember what the Jews did for Jimmy Carter. He was on deaths door then after treatments in Israel he lived to be a hundred, and he hated the Jews.
No, they won’t. (Heads explode)
Specifically Individualized, Gene modification drugs, particularly for cancer,
is good and proper use of these MRNA technologies at our present level of understanding.
Across the populace, indiscriminate inoculation with non individually personalized potentially gene modifying MRNA concoctions is not.
So “NOT”, in fact, that it’s far more likely a weapon, when used like that.

This doesn't sound right to me.
The harmless parts of cancer cells are going to be identical to parts found in non-cancer cells. This would cause the immune system to attack the normal cells in a person along with the cancerous cells.
The cancer tumor I had resulted from a single protein that caused my cancer cells to respond as if growth hormones were present despite the absence of those hormones.
To cure my cancer it would be necessary to identify the single protein that was malformed and have the immune system attack just the cells that contained that specific malformed protein.
Some cancers (perhaps ovarian cancer) come about because of a chain of successive mutations that eventually lead to cancerous behavior. To refer to the mutated pre-cursor cells as "harmless" seems a misuse of the term.
Nevertheless, we do live in interesting times and the approach would appear to be quite a breakthrough. Such a thing might change human longevity significantly.
Just another statist boomer that trusts government. I guarantee you there are people walking around today whose body naturally produces the toxic covid spike proteins 24x7x365.
A vaccine is administered to prevent an illness.
I know it sounds nitpicky but the article compares the COVID vaccine with this cancer "vaccine" because both were made using mRNA. The two don't equate in my mind.
If they have good results in stage 4 cancer patients, by all means make it and use it --- but don't make me take it too!
This is what the mRNA jabs were intended for. Giving this kind of therapy to a cancer patient makes sense, but giving this kind of therapy to the healthy is irresponsible.
I suppose that opinion makes me an anti-vax kook.
Take mRNA out and I’m good. That poison is not entering my body.
Since cancer is your own cells that have mutated and spread, it sounds like the vaccine reteaches your white blood cells to attack the mutated cells like they should have done when they first mutated.
You're like the psychos who pretend there is no difference between legal and illegal immigration, except you pretend there is no difference between tested vaccines and untested, experimental vaccines.
mRNA might prove to be useful. The spike protein, not so much!
Gosh. A stupid analogy intended to defend your lack of medical knowledge.
Do you ever ask yourself why Trump remains committed to the Covid vaccines?
The spike protein is generated by the mRNA shots. It’s the antigen that trains the immune system to recognize and fight the virus.
So you are an advocate of forcing people to take untested experimental vaccines.
Good to know.
