Hawley: Gabbard nomination ‘may be in jeopardy’

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) signaled Thursday that former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination for director of national intelligence could be in jeopardy after her past defense of alleged traitors, adding to the list of skeptics.

“I’m worried by what I hear from some of my Republican colleagues. I’m worried that her nomination may be in jeopardy,” Hawley said during a Thursday Fox News appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

“And I’m just worried about what that will mean,” he added.

Gabbard, who was tapped by President Trump to helm the intelligence community, was widely criticized for meeting with former Syria leader Bashar Assad before his regime collapsed and previous statements claiming Edward Snowden should be pardoned for revealing classified information relating to global government surveillance programs.

Yep, I hate to say it, but the RINO’s will need at least one sacrificial lamb to appease the Vichy Republicans.

Tulsi has done more for her country than all of these RINOs combined ever have or ever will. Any Uniparty drones who derail her nomination must be voted out ASAP.

It would be a terrible shame if Defense Secretary Hegseth decided to withhold military contracts from Missouri or any state with RINO senators.

Time for President Trump to call the State party GOP chairs and ask them to start things moving to have them to censure proceeding against any GOP turncoats

The only real leverage that effects these narcissistic clowns is a threat to their state powerbase. There are dozens of politicians back home who would love to unseat the sitting Senator of these states.

The old GOP_E lie that “we have to have so and so” needs to finally be debunked

Trump needs to call Lindsey Graham and every other Republican from a Trump + 10 state and tell them to cut the BS and vote yes. There should no longer be any “Deep State” Republicans.

Any secrets supposedly she revealed or supported released, should not have been hidden from the American public (especially how the three letter agencies where spying on Americans). We do not need to classify over 7,000,000 documents a year. The America public is smart enough to sort out most of it.

This is disgusting. Only 9 cabinet nominees in US history have failed to be confirmed.

They’d be seriously screwing up IMO. She’d likely be a fantastic VP pick for Pence. They’re missing a chance of turning her from Independent to full Republican. Bad juju

I believe the vote from each committee member is secret. This can make things difficult.

Late last night quotes from Susan Collins appeared saying she felt very positive about Tulsi Gabbard’s testimony, particularly when Gabbard said she would not urge a pardon for Snowden. (not a matter relevant to the DNI, who has 1000s of pages of current events briefings to Congress and the president to sterilize of narrative).

Collins is a very important vote. She can drag others with her, as she did with Kavanaugh.

Gabbard’s odds are greatly improved with Collins. Hers is a vote that can give cover to female Dem senators.
