Many of the promises President Donald Trump vowed to deliver upon were fulfilled on his first day in office, enthralling Republicans who celebrated the presidential actions.

“Your head will spin when you see what’s going to happen,” Trump said in October of Day One.

Trump vowed to launch the largest deportation in United States history, secure the border, end birthright citizenship, pardon January 6 defendants, unleash American energy, terminate federal DEI programs, and begin to drain the “deep state.”

“We will demolish the ‘deep state.’ We will expel the warmongers from our government. We will drive out the globalists. We will cast out the communists, Marxists and fascists. Wmediae will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news ,” Trump vowed in Windham, New Hampshire, in 2023.

I think of how Reagan spent years as a GE spokesman and when he'd travel around, but instead talking about freezers he talked about freedom and limited government, honing is ideology and message to a fine point. The advantage of this is Reagan never needed to take a poll to decide where he stood on an issue, he had thought it out in detail and knew what his principles were and could deal with anything by leaning on his principles first.

Similarly, Trump spent a couple of years post-1st term doing rallies, talking about policies and the state of government, what happened to him in his first term and how they did it, talking to people all over and coming up with where he stands on it all and what he wants to do. He doesn't need polls or focus groups, he knows him mind fully on all this. And now, he's doing what he said he'd do.
