Ukrainian media sources report that the U.S.-funded Ukrainian military and security apparatus trained the Islamist rebels currently advancing in Syria. Turkey-backed Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), formerly the al-Qaeda affiliate al-Nusra, is leading the offensive against the forces of Russia-backed President Bashar al-Assad in Aleppo, seizing swathes of territory.

There are issues where all the forces align - political on both sides and economic, US and EU. On these issues, you can forget any semblence of actaul reporting. The news becomes no more than an echo chamber demanding action or submission to their ideas, to include double masks with a mask brace.

Russia employs North Koreans in Ukraine, Syrian rebels fighting Assad and the Russians in Syria get training from Ukraine. War makes strange bedfellows. Nothing terribly unusual.

I’ve seen this reported by multiple sources. Maybe they should focus on defending their own country which they are not doing a good job at.

Israel is known to reluctantly agree that Assad is better than likely alternatives, as long as Assad is relatively weak against Israel.
