Over the last few weeks, a number of drones have mysteriously been spotted over four air bases used by the US Air Force (USAF) in the UK.
The unmanned aerial devices were first spotted on 20 November, over and in the vicinity of RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall, in Suffolk, RAF Feltwell in Norfolk and RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.
The unusual activity has prompted an investigation by the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) police.
Around 60 British troops, including counter-drone specialists, have also been deployed to help defend the bases.

"However they are still continuously being monitored to ensure the safety and security of the installations."
Haynes added that it remains "unclear how many drones are involved, who is operating them and why they are doing it" but it seems "sufficiently serious" for the UK to deploy military personnel.

The RAF troops operate the ORCUS counter-uncrewed air system, which has the ability to "detect, track, identify and, if necessary, defeat hostile drones", according to the RAF website.
...
However, one security source told Sky News that the drone activity was "awfully coordinated." Another said it was "odd" and "very weird."

Late last month, Russia became quite upset with England.
It could be due to England supplying the Ukraine with missiles, far reaching missiles. I believe Putin even issued direct threats to England about possible retaliation, should the weapons supply to Zelensky continue.
When asked by Sky News' security and defence editor Deborah Haynes [about drone threats], the spokesperson said there has been "no impact to residents or infrastructure and [they] have not been identified as hostile".What a stupid comment.
Surveillance and intelligence gathering operations may not show hostility or appear to impact residents or infrastructure either.
As an aside, these drones are buzzing bases out of which F-15E Strike Eagles and F-35A Lightning IIs operate. Even though these drones are said to have been observed with various lighting patterns, a collision between a drone and one of the aforementioned jets might be an expensive accident.

They’ve been flying all over America too. Where they’ve been most active, multiple incidents, is over our naval mega assets in and around Norfolk and the entire Chesapeake Bay. The first I heard of these was 18 months ago.
More recently, drones were reported flying over the U.S. Army's Picatinny Arsenal and surrounding areas in Morris County, New Jersey, on November 18, 2024.
This incident prompted a coordinated response from military, state, and federal authorities due to concerns about security and safety in the vicinity of the military installation. The drone activity was observed by law enforcement members on patrol, and reports indicated that at least five large drones were seen, with some witnesses claiming to have spotted up to twelve drones flying in formation for over two hours.
I think the Pentagon was trying to determine the correct pronouns to use for the drone operators (if and when identified) and that was preventing an immediate response.;-)
Rather than passively observing them...why don’t they both shoot them down and/or seize them? I guess biden/kamala maladministration doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or something. How feckless the US military (with its DEI and reported 15,000 trannies) has become.
“Some were as big as cars.”
Some years ago, about 2 a.m., a drone happened to fly over my house as it carried out its mission. It was incredibly loud and I heard its approach for a long time, which is what woke me up. I looked out the window and saw the bottom of the craft. It was tree top level; I suppose it was flying under radar.
Those drones are probably U S military with research hidden from the Biden/Obama administrations.
why don’t they both shoot them down and/or seize them?

Forbidden by law to shoot them down. See War Zone articles on same subject.
Setting the place up for a Hazelnut rocket attack.
Fair is fair, the US has been flying surveillance over military assets for decades, from spy sats to U2 and SR71 flights and I assume we now use drones as well. It would be foolish not to think that our adversaries around the globe would not catch up and take pics of our military infrastructure.
Are these drones, or “drones?” I mean are some of them from non-human sources?
If you’ve ever been out to Wright-Patt Museum and seen the room display for the drone command operaters change of command ceremonies, you would be shocked. We had something like 38 USAF drones back in 2006, some 2/3s the size and likeness of the F16, and other current aircraft. Drones are not simply airborne these days.
Apparently the US is training the Brit’s on our drones - I guess they need to buy’em to fly’em;)
The MIC is wonderful and the only actual functioning sector of the US economy at present. Without Never-Ending-WAR customers, our economy would crash.
Most interesting video I have seen recently—packed full of interesting UFO history:
It looks like NATO adopted a mundane/routine “cosmic clearance” security level at some point—imho to muddy the waters for any whistleblowers from the legacy programs.
Don’t we have the means to jam the signals controlling them? I would have thought that standard equipment.
Where are the drones being launched from and recovered to? Does it not seem a USAF military base and the civilian air traffic control radars (primary image) nearby would have the ability to determine this, especially with some drones being as large as an F-250 pickup? Doesn’t this seem odd? Why the prominent “navigation” lights on the drones if it is an adversary doing surveillance? Why no photos of these repeated occurrences?
Different sizes of drones were tested by the U.S. Air Force in the 1980s at Kirtland AFB.
Those 38 were all different models and diffent lines of the emerging technology since the 1990s that were in current operations. Things not yet seen in public were on the wall back then. What we have deployed on everyday DOD use is non-stealth....
Sometimes a fighter aircraft’s size is dictated in part by the mass and density of the pilot accommodations. There is nothing manned that cannot be a drone. Everything manned is smaller in USAF/DOD production drones - let your mind’s wander and the someday when you see a familiar AC that is way too small....
“Don’t we have the means to jam the signals controlling them? I would have thought that standard equipment.”
Agreed—obviously that would be classified but the Pentagon is playing stupid PR games at this point.
Why was the identity and destination of these drones not resolved with an F-15 in the air and fighters and helicopters at other bases?
