Opinion: Donald Trump won the election. Now he’s losing it.
The Hill ^ | Nov. 25, 2024 | John Kenneth White

Posted on 11/25/2024 9:48:18 AM PST by libstripper

On Nov. 5, Americans hired Donald Trump to do three things: put more money into their pockets; lower prices for gas, groceries and rent and restore order at the southern border.

Trump was not hired to gut the Justice Department, abolish the FBI, pardon the Jan. 6 rioters, weaken our intelligence agencies, eliminate the Department of Education or “go wild on health.”

Trump’s initial nominations of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) for attorney general (now withdrawn), Pete Hesgeth for secretary of Defense, Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as secretary of Health and Human Services, and Mehmet Oz as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services go far beyond the directives he received from voters.

This guy is obviously a Never Trumper who's trying to conceal himself. However, he blows it by saying what horrible people RFK Jr, Oz, and Pete Hegseth are without ever explaining the precise, unpopular policy changes they will make.

Actually, he ran on and was elected to do all of those things. But this wanker doesn’t like the feeling of having the gun turned on the subject of his TDS instead of the object of his TDS.

He ran on all those things. Therefore, he has mandate to do them.

After the virus, lawfare, J6, inflation, woke insanity, trillions in spending, the military losing their minds, etc, the mandate to come in playing the part of Buford Pusser is apparent.

With the possible exception of Matt Gaetz, none of these appointments are out of line with what voters expected.

We have reached a national consensus -— we have not lived in anything resembling the nation envisioned by our Founders. That is about to be reversed, dramatically. Evidenced in 2024’s presidential election when a broad coalition voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump.

Mr. Trump, PLEASE pull your current choice for Labor Sec OUT of contention. She is a union stooge who favors Biden's PRO ACT which would outlaw most independent contractor jobs (1099s), the gig economy, and force them into being employees, which will never happen because they are NOT hour-based or shift-based kind of jobs.

Nominate someone who is truly on the side of ALL workers ... perhaps Mike Rowe.
