DETROIT — In a nod to Michigan’s importance among swing states, Donald Trump will hold his last campaign event in Grand Rapids late election eve Monday.
That’ll make River City the former president’s final stop in all three of his campaigns.
A nine-year journey that started with an escalator ride at Trump Tower will end at downtown’s Van Andel Arena in Michigan’s second-largest city.
“Michiganders love a late-night rally, and President Trump loves Michigan,” Victoria LaCivita, the Trump campaign’s Michigan spokeswoman, told The Post. “From the beginning, Team Trump has known that the path to the White House runs directly through Michigan, so there’s no better place to conclude a historic and momentous campaign season.”

It was a charm both times previous. Why doubt over the third?
A good reason to avoid downtown today.
Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan and it’s Trump’s... 285 to 253. It could be bigger than that, but these three states added to his 2020 map and he’s in there.
Nobody votes for the VP, but selecting a young J. D. Vance from Ohio is likely helping Trump big time. Voters from Pennsylvania and Michigan have similar concerns and values as those in Ohio and in 2016 both states supported Trump. After 4 years of Biden/Harris and their wokeness, these states are likely to become Trump country once again. Vance will also likely be a shoe-in for the 2028 Presidential nomination and being from the Ohio will be a big advantage.
The US needs at least 8 years of Republican control to turn things around... 12 years would be best.

I love it
I lived in Grand Rapids decades ago, and worked at the Republican Party office doing fund raising. I was so good at it, I basically oversold the annual $$$ dinner for contributors. Some had to eat in a small auxiliary dining room. The state chairman of the Republican Party offered me a job at headquarters to continue making $$$ for the party but I turned it down because my little kids were just starting school and they needed to stay where they were.
Bless you!
Congratulations! Bet your skills will still be sharp when the kids are off to college and you have the freedom to choose where your life will be happiest, be that where you are now or where you can suggest someone employ you. But happiness in your life. That’s most important. Besides, these days you can tell them that you’ll Work From Home.
That was decades ago and I don’t live there any more. Now in blue state, WA. My daughter, a grown up Republican, lives here too. We vote and hope.
