SALT LAKE CITY — As Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are traveling to swing states across the country to make their final pitch to voters, the race in Utah is all but decided. A new Deseret News/Hinckley Institute of Politics poll conducted by HarrisX shows Trump is polling 30 percentage points ahead of Harris among Utah voters, with just over a week to go before Election Day. The poll shows Trump with 61% support among Utah voters, compared to 30% for Harris. Another 2% say they'll vote for independent candidate Cornel West, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein garners 1% support, and 6% of voters say they're unsure.

Better to hope they are not taken over by scabs from those states or others.

61-30% is great. That’s an 11-point swing in margin from 2020 when Trump beat Biden by only 20 points, 58 - 38%.

The big news is not that Trump is leading. It is that he is 10 points ahead of his performance in 2020. In 2020, he won Utah 58-38, a 20 point victory over President Biden. Now, Trump is leading by 30 points. That 10 point victory margin improvement is huge. If it presages movement elsewhere, it could be a short night on November 5.

“ABC/GMA trying their best to sway people to Harris.”

KSL is an NBC affiliate. So, far left wing bias just like 90% of US media.

Egg McMuffin ran in 2016 hoping to tip Utah into Hillary’s column. The anti-Trump Mormon Republicans haven’t tried that again.

Having escaped from Kalifoniationville...and relocated to Nevada...NV will go MAGA Trump.

I see more Trump signs and bumper stickers than for kamala.

At the paring lot across the street from the voting place...lots of people at the Republican booth.....only a few sour karens at the kamala booth.

As a recent arrival in NV I can get a special temporary NV driving note from the DMV that is valid for voting.

Really well, Curtis should win by around 30%... running against a poor candidate. He should be an improvement from Romney, however, he was a blue-dog democrat when mayor of Provo and moved to Republican when he realized he could not be elected. Has been a solid conservative in the house.

Thank God. I really hope he flies in V formation with us. I’m SO glad to be rid of Romney. What a loser
