The Kabuki-worthy facial expressions modeled by Kamala Harris during Tuesday’s presidential debate had many viewers alternately perplexed and rolling in the aisles as the Democratic nominee sought to steal ABC News’ split screen from former President Donald Trump.
Now former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has revealed Kamala Harris received acting lessons ahead of the debate and was coached by Hollywood advisers. Kamala’s goal? To “act her way through this election,” she said.
“That’s why she has locked herself in a hotel room, taking extreme acting lessons,” Gabbard said in a Fox News interview just ahead of Tuesday’s debate.

I thought her facial expressions made her look silly and, quite frankly, were a bit crazy. I felt like I was watching a silent picture.
It’ll be fun watching a mashup of her programmed facial expressions in various YT videos.
How much more tolerable she would be if she were truly silent.
Maybe she could study mime. She certainly has the facial and hand gestures down.
I wonder how many of those expressions have been seen by Willie Brown.
Her facial expressions made her look like an unprofessional, immature, snarky, smarmy queen bitch. Fully explains her 92% office employee turnover rate.
I have only 2 questions:
1) How much electro-shock was needed?
2) Does the CIA have a way of draining THC from fat cells?
Trump remained Trump throughout the debate; what you saw is what you’re going to get.
Kamala, otoh, was a tawdry mix.....she acted, she posed,
she postured, she preened.....she reinvented herself at every turn.
Listen, even with everything stacked against Trump he still could have easily won this debate if he had focused on the damn issues instead of allowing Harris to bait him on nonsense..who cares about crowd size, really, the economy sucks, you have people forced to work 2 jobs to make ends meat, you have crime out of control, open borders, inflation, world wars, and what is brought up, CROWD SIZE, who the hell freakin cares if anyone leaves his rally, WHO CARES..it matters to NO ONE, but Harris knew that mattered to Trump, who is obsessed with crowd size, so it got under his skin..if he had just said what I said above he would have nailed her ass to the freakin WALL..and how come he didnt bring up the reason why he was against the border bill, because allowing in 8,000 per day is NOT a border bill its utter GARBAGE..and he should have brought up how allowing all these people in is going to bankrupt social security and medicare, we cant afford to pay for all these people without raising taxes up the wazoo. So Trump missed a lot of opportunities, cant blame that on the moderators, or acting lessons or anything else

Sorry, but that gave me a bit of a chuckle. You sound like my wife. ;-)
“He should have…”, “He could have…” Oh, well. He went into the Lion’s Den and chewed on 3 adversaries for a while - then took questions.
I can’t complain.
The look on his face, from the moment he got there, looked like someone who did NOT want to be there..I dont know, hey everyone is a monday morning quarterback just saying he could have done better..at least mention those things I mentioned above at least..and even with everything against him it would have worked out better for him..
The resting her head on her hands smirk was especially bad.
Somebody said this is the head cheerleader sneering at you while her snarky friends (the mods) attack you with asides.
Emphasis on "head"...
Yes, but he was pretty sincere…no acting there. However,I think she’d prepped him on policy, while Kamala and ABC went for personal attacks and lies.

Econ news from real econ people are still saying food insecurity because of prices. Which are up. I have to shop Krogers, only store in our town of 7K. 2 miles from the house. Produce sucks as do meat cuts and prices. Few real check out lanes, they put in a few self-check with a long belt. But NO Price cuts for using them. I refuse to.
Halloween/Christmas are competing.
Corporate consolidation, lack of competition linked to rising grocery prices
As a federal judge considers a lawsuit aiming to block a proposed $25 billion merger between Kroger and Albertsons, a new report detailed how skyrocketing grocery store prices are linked to record profits and a lack of competition between a shrinking number of corporations dominating the nation’s food system. Rakeen Mabud, chief economist for the Groundwork Collaborative, the Washington, D.C.-based think tank behind the report, said fewer competitors in the industry can lead to price gouging. “There are only a few companies that control big chunks of entire supply chains that get food to grocery stores,” Mabud pointed out.

Key inflation gauge rises unexpectedly, dimming hopes for big rate cut from Fed

The Consumer Price Index rose 2.5% in August from a year earlier and 0.2% from the previous month — in line with economists’ expectations, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
But Core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose 3.2% from a year earlier and 0.3% on a monthly basis. The monthly number, driven by stubbornly high housing costs, was slightly above expectations for a 0.2% rise.
That little overtly practiced hand to the chin with phoney bemusement act should have turned off any viewer who has previously dealt with a snug narcissist in their lives.
“The resting her head on her hands smirk was especially bad.”
The jaded female population impressed by that were already her supporters.
My only disappointment about what Trump did not do was to turn to her and say, “Madame, you are such a liar.”
