Howdy, Kathy.
It looks like we both have a dreary, damp day.
Happy Sunday!
Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Looks like it rained while I was at work.
Hope you had a nice day.
Shavua Tov.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Hey there, Kathy.
Yes, you had a little rain up there this afternoon. I saw the rain drops starting to show up on the cam housing and thought I could hear it too. But when I turned the speakers down, I could still hear it. That’s when I looked out my window and saw it was pouring here. LOL
Got 7/10 of an inch in about 15 minutes, then it stopped. The nice thing was it dropped the temp from 92 to 75 in a flash.
It started sprinkling about a half hour ago and it looks like that will go on for a while.
There’s a large system east of you and if it makes it over the mountains, you should get some decent rain tonight.
Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
Keep the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s way.
A blessed Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost (Western)/Tenth Sunday After Pentecost & Ecclesiastical New Year (Orthodox) to all!
Jumping! Hai Kathy! (((hugs))) and ... BBQ time!
Dreary and damp for sure....but at least 30 ducks.
Amen.
Good evening, JJ, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Any time for hunting or fishing this summer? Nice weather?
No rain at all for spring, but lots this summer.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
Bible in a Year :
The wolf and the lamb will feed together.
“I can’t believe what I’m seeing!” My wife, Cari, called me to the window and pointed out an adult doe in the woods just outside our fence, bounding from one end of our yard to the other. Keeping pace beside her inside the fence were our large dogs, but they weren’t barking. Back and forth they went, for nearly an hour. When the doe paused and faced them, the dogs stopped also, straightening their front legs and crouching back on their haunches, ready to run again. This wasn’t predator and prey behavior; the doe and the dogs were playing together, enjoying each other’s company!
To Cari and me, their morning romp provided a picture of the coming kingdom of God. The prophet Isaiah proclaims God’s promise of that kingdom with the words, “See, I will create new heavens and a new earth” (Isaiah 65:17). He goes on to say that “the wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox” (v. 25). No more predator, no more prey. Just friends.
Isaiah’s words seem to show us that there will be animals in God’s eternal kingdom; they also point to what God is preparing for His creation, especially “for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). What a beautiful place that will be! As we trust in Him by faith, God lifts our eyes to the reality that’s coming: peace and safety in His presence forever!
Reflect & Pray
What do you look forward to most about God’s kingdom? Whom can you share your hope with today?
Thank You for everything good that’s coming, loving Father! Please help me look forward to You today.

It kind of looks like the duck population took off this year. You already have a larger number showing up at your house and it’s early yet.
There are a LOT of them hanging out on Lake Hood the past couple of weeks.
You might want to stock up on corn. I have a feeling there will be a larger than normal crowd showing up at your place every day this winter. eek!
